Deck 1: Bridge, USS Gorgon

The camera fades in and slowly pans around the bridge of a Federation vessel, taking in the officers manning consoles and stations. Finally it centers on the tall man in the Captain's chair with short blond hair. "Mister Murphy, please adjust course and take us to Fimdari. Our work here is complete." Before the conn officer can respond alerts begin to sound from most of the consoles on the bridge, even as the bridge itself shudders and the officers are thrown forward. Then the urgent reports begin to pour in.

"We've just dropped out of warp."

"Sir, there was an explosion in engineering. The warp core is destabilizing!"

"There is a hull breach on Deck 8 in main engineering. The officers there were sucked of the breach."

"The systems are showing massive failures. There are explosions on Deck 1 and another hull breach, and the structural integrity fields are failing. We need to abandon the bridge now, sir!"

"Decks 7 and 8 are being abandoned! We're losing life support and atmosphere on half the ship. Only Decks 3 and 4 are looking safe."

The Captain is standing by now, and begins to bark out orders. "Tactical, fire an emergency beacon and evacuate the bridge. Get to Deck 3. Operations, sound a general alert and get everyone to Decks 3 and 4 now! Engineering, eject that core before it goes critical! Move it people!" he yells, though he of course remains rooted in the middle of the deck as he barks orders and watches his officers.

Deck 6: Corridor

The camera cuts to an empty corridor, bathed in the angry flashing of the red alert beacons. After a moment two officers, clearly a young man and woman come darting around the corner at full sprint. The officer in the rear yells out, as they approach a hatch about thirty meters down the hall. "Get ready to close that hatch, Haverly!" Even as he is yelling another officer comes around the corner, this man a good ten to fifteen years older. As he comes around the corner he trips and stumbles, his body slamming into the wall and falling.

The younger male officer turns, starting back towards the fallen man. He is stopped though when the older man holds out a hand. "Smerc, you seal that hatch right now. That's an order Ensign!" he yells down the twenty meter gap. For his part the younger male hesitates for a moment, before giving the senior officer a nod and punching the door control to close it.

Deck 5: Engineering Catwalk at top of Warp Core

Three officers are huddled around the top of what is clearly the warp core working frantically at the consoles there. One of them stops work, looking to the other two. "Release clamps are freed. My portion is done."

"I have got the rest," snaps one of the two working officers, a man with a Lieutenant JG's pips. "I need 30 seconds. You two take the Jeffrey's Tube to Deck 4 now. Get out of here," he adds, still working away on the console. The others, after a moment, step away and turn to head along the catwalk. One pauses to rest a hand on the working officer's shoulder. "Thanks, Selanne," he murmurs before the two jog off the catwalk, leaving one officer behind.

Space View of the USS Gorgon

The camera pans over the top of the vessel, showing the name USS Gorgon, before pulling back to a wider angle. A single torpedo bay fires as the probe arcs out from the ship. At the same time of the long tube of the warp core shots out of the bottom of the ship and begins to drift away from the Nova Class vessel. The warp nacelles are dark and the breach on Deck 8 is easily visible, a huge tear in the hull of the ship.

The USS Thomas Paine cruises through space, as the camera pans along the hull while the ships passes at warp speed. As the Paine passes Krylow can be head on a voice over. "Commanding Officer's Log, USS Thomas Paine, Stardate 55285.5. We are heading to the last known coordinates of the USS Gorgon. Whatever has occurred on that ship did so with such speed that Station 419 only received an automated ditress signal from a probe. I fear for what we will discover when we arrive. Or possibly, what won't be left to discover."

Krylow stirs slightly in the command seat, waiting quietly and watching the view screen while the Paine continues to head towards the Gorgon.

GAME: Parker spends a courage point.

GAME: Parker contests his Shipboard Systems/Sensors+A vs Routine and Succeeds.

Adansae sits tensely, leaning slightly forward as she watches the view screen. Her expression is tense, anxious, not at all the face she wears while on duty in counseling or spending time elsewhere on S419.

"Sir, we are almost prepared for rescue." Leres hits a button at the engineering console. "Tractor beam has been checked and is ready. Transporters also checked out fine and are available when needed. The EVAs aren't quite at full readiness but are almost there. I anticipate they should be prepped entirely momentarily."

Nabrun looks oddly relaxed, with the only tension showing around the corners of her eyes. Hands are folded neatly in her lap, ankles crossed and tucked beneath her chair. Like Adansae, she's attentive to the view screen. "We're ready for casualties, if necessary," she tells Adansae quietly, purposefully keeping her voice low. "The Mess Hall is prepped."

Green's lefthand fingers drum on the edge of her console, her tight gaze sweeping across it. "Shields and weapons available at a hundred percent, Lieutenant. We are loaded for bear."

Parker might not be that used to spend time with Operations, but he's doing good enough with it, and seems to be almost remarkably calm about the whole situation, concentrating on the sensors, eyes moving about and flink fingers tapping on the consoles. Perhaps he buries his worries in his work. "Sir, 2.5 minutes to Gorgon at current warp. Derelict or on emergency power," he suddenly informs, straightening up where he stands and turning a look at Krylow; there's a hint of grim determination there on his face.

Krylow nods to Parker, frowning slightly as he listens. To the conn officer, he says, "Bring us out of warp in one minute. I want to approach cautiously. Mister Parker, put the Gorgon on the viewscreen, maximum magnification. Lieutenant Green, shields and phasers on standby please. Do not raise them yet. Lieutenant Leres, help with sensors sweeps of the area. Let me know if anything else is out there, and look for escape pods."

Adansae's nod to Nabrun is as tension-filled as her expression; one can almost hear muscles creaking like clockwork mechanisms in need of oil. "We're ready," she agrees softly, her voice far calmer than her stance. Again, she leans forward, narrowing her eyes as she awaits the magnified view.

GAME: Leres contests her Shipboard Systems vs Routine and Dramatically Succeeds.

Green nods once, shortly. "Aye, sir," she acknowledges, fingertips running across her board in quick, efficient movements. "Shields and phasers on standby."

. o O Parker thinks, "Derelict. Rough. This is not gonna be pretty."

Nabrun continues in a very quiet voice. "Depending on what we have, I'll be prepped for surgery. We'll both do triage. If you need anything, don't hesitate to yell, ENS. This isn't going to be easy."

. o O Green thinks, "Please, please, don't let this be a repeat of the Aggememnon. We don't need war right now."

"Aye, Sir," Parker responds in his warm, deep rumbling tone which, despite hardly being yelled, still resonates across the bridge. The Chief goes back to work with the efficiency of someone able to carry out several things at the same time and keeping it straight in his head anyway, fingers dancing over keys. The viewscreen shifts, there's nothing but dark space for a moment before magnification is brought up to maximum. The Chief's shoulders tense slightly in dreadful anticipation of what'll be seen.

"Aye, sir." Is the answer that comes from the engineering station. There's the sound of the console getting a work out as Leres begins the requested sensor sweeps. "Sir, we have two escape pods. Each one has two life forms aboard. They are in excellent shape and should be fine for several hours yet." She continues and pauses as if she isn't quite sure then goes on. "Sir, I'm not picking up any other ships or even trails from other ships here." She raises a brow. "I show traces of multiple explosions but...they happened INSIDE the ship. They aren't showing where we'd expect if they'd been attacked." She pauses. "I've also found the warp core of the Gorgon. It's floating adrift. It's slightly damaged, but otherwise seems to be in good shape."

On the viewscreen the Gorgon lists heavily to port, her warp nacelles and most of the viewports are dark, but some viewports midships are still lit. The Paine is approaching more or less from the rear of the Gorgon and the viewscreen clearly shows the hole torn in the lower deck, right where engineering would be.

Krylow stands from the chair, looking at the Gorgon on the screen for a moment before the next round of orders issue forth. "Lieutenant Leres, Mister Parker, full scans on the Gorgon. Identity life signs and get me transporter locks." He looks to Nabrun and Adansae. "We'll have need of you two in a moment. Warn your people that wounded are incoming. "

Although Adansae doesn't look as if she needs Nabrun's warning about what may lie ahead, she gives a nod of acknowledgement regardless. "Yes, sir, I will," she murmurs. "But you can count on me." Her eyes skip around the bridge as the other officers give Krylow reports, her frown etching deeper as she listens. At Krylow's order, she looks to Nabrun again.

Green glances up briefly toward the screen. An eyebrow arches, then she turns her attention back to tactical matters.

GAME: Parker contests his Shipboard Systems/Sensors+A vs Moderate and Succeeds.

Nabrun rises to her feet and nods to Krylow. "Aye, Sir," she calls quietly, then taps her combadge. "LTJG Nabrun to Paine Mess. Prepare for incoming wounded. Number and severity unknown. Prep surgical stations." A quick glance to Adansae, and a bit of a reassuring smile, and she turns back to the view screen, studying the Gorgon.

GAME: Leres contests her Shipboard Systems vs Moderate and Fails.

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Escape pods with only two lifeforms each. That's four alive that we know of, out of a possible crew of 80. Worst case, we prepare for 76 wounded."

Leres works at her console at the order and looks frustrated. "Sir, radiation from the engineering compartment is obscuring the scans I'm making." She looks to Parker. "Did you manage to get anything from your scans?" She adds, almost as an aside. "Could get messy if we have to get anywhere near the ship with all the radiation."

Parker stares at the screen for a few seconds, his jaw setting at the sight. He blinks once and then focuses on Krylow as new orders are coming, responds with a confident 'Aye Sir' and gets to work on the sensors again, his big form hulking over the console as if he's trying to intimidate it to do his bidding. "Yes, radiation from engineering is heavy and transporter locks impossible. Sensors pick up between 30 and 50 lifeforms on decks 3 and 4, but they're difficult to make out."

Krylow frowns again as he listens. "Lieutenant Nabrun, Mister Adansae, check Lieutenant Leres and Mister Parker's results. Find out if you can treat that radiation exposure. It would appear that we will need to go EVA and carry in transport enhancers, unless anyone else has a better idea."

. o O Green thinks, "Ah, I've always wanted to glow in the dark. James'll be delighted."

Green looks back up at the screen again, pondering thoughtfully for a moment. Then she shakes her head. "Nothing coming to mind, Lieutenant."

"I can't think of anything, sir." Leres says quietly. "Direct transport would've been faster and easier of course. But with the radiation? I'm thinking this is our best option too."

GAME: Adansae contests her Medical Sciences vs Routine and Dramatically Fails.

GAME: Nabrun contests her Medical Sciences/General Medicine vs Routine and Succeeds.

Adansae does her best to look reassured by Nabrun's smile, but at Leres's mention of radiation her expression is again flooded with concern. At Krylow's command, she rises to her feet to join Parker and Leres, and her study of their results redoubles her worried look. "Those levels of radiation will kill the survivors in about ten minutes," she reports.

Nabrun dips her head to Krylow. "Aye, Sir," she says quietly and moves over to stand behind Parker, eyes moving over the results. "I think we can take care of this..." she murmurs. "10ccs of trigladizine will innoculate the unexposed for two hours. Treatment with the same, over a period of time in a medical facility can reverse the damage done to those exposed." We'll need to make sure we have plenty on hand.

GAME: Parker contests his Systems Engineering+A vs Impossible and Fails.

Parker is standing stiffly, thinking heavily on something, clearly trying to figure out some way to circumvent the radiation; then he bursts into action and begins tapping away again, bringing forth information and frowning heavily. If he stuck his tongue out too, the picture of someone intently at work would be perfect. Grinding his teeth, he shakes his head and has to announce; "Can't think of anything, Sir. Was thinking we could try to remove the radiation somehow using tractor beam if reprogramming graviton beam system, but I'm stumped there."

Krylow looks between Nabrun and Adansae. "I need you two to agree on this. Can we be protected against the radiation?"

Adansae looks to Nabrun. "I don't think--" But clearly, she isn't certain enough of her results to argue with Nabrun's more optimistic findings. Instead, she gives the Lieutenant a little nod and frowns uneasily at her own calculations. "I'll run this again, sir," she replies to Krylow.

GAME: Adansae contests her Medical Sciences vs Routine and Marginally Succeeds.

Nabrun looks to Adansae, a brow quirked, then looks back to Alek. "To the best of my medical knowledge, yes. I'd suggest sending our people in with 10ccs of trigladizine, which will innoculate them for up to 2 hours, no more than that."

Krylow nods to Nabrun, and turns to Adansae, waiting on her answer.

Adansae frowns at her calculations for a few more seconds, then looks back to Krylow with a nod. "I agree with Lieutenant Nabrun."

Krylow nods to the two medical officers. "Very good. Prepare six injections. You'll administer them in the transporter room before suiting up. Mister Parker, Lieutenant Green, Lieutenant Leres call up replacement and hand over your consoles. You're with me. Gela, make sure sure those EVA suits are ready to go, and get three engineering kits, two medical kits, six sidearms, and two sets of transport enhancers ready." That said said he turns to the conn officer. "Keep us in a holding pattern here." Only once the others move does he follow them off the bridge.

Green pushes the right touchpad combo to call up her replacement, glancing sideways slightly toward Krylow for a moment. Nodding once, she heads for the lift.

. o O Green thinks, "There he goes again. I understand why you're going too, Alek, but that doesn't mean I have to like it."

Parker gets the replacement called, then moves with long, stalking steps towards the lift. He glances at Nabrun and Adansae, giving the two a little nod of confidence before he enters the lift itself.

. o O Parker is focused on the task at hand, doing a good job of pushing stress and worry away.

Nabrun reaches out and touches Adansae's arm, briefly, then moves off to prepare the injections and assist Leres with the equipment - including the medkits - before heading off toward the lift. Parker gets a small, reassuring smile and a nod as she passes.

Standing from her station, Leres hits her combadge. "Engineering, this is Lieutenant Leres. Have those EVA suits I requested prepared for use. I need them, three engineering kits, two med kits, please work with Lieutenant Nabrun's people on that please, and two sets of transporter enhancers ready in the transporter room." She pauses. "I also need sidearms for six members of an away team. Please contact security to arrange them for them to be included with our other equipment." She adds. "I also need you to send someone up to man the engineering station. If you need me, I'm on my to the transporter room. Leres out."

Adansae helps Nabrun prep the injections, moving slowly -- after her last mistake, she's taking great care with every step. Once the two have finished, she joins the others in the lift.

. o O Parker thinks, "Explosion from the inside? Why? WHat happened? And the radiation... Poor buggers. This is gonna be nasty."

In the transporter room two non-commissioned officers are working on preparing the gear. One is stepping out the engineering kits while the other is bringing over the phasers. It seems the medical kits are already present, as the the enhancers.

Krylow steps off the lift with the team. "Lieutenant Nabrun, Mister Adansae, get those injections taken care of. Everyone else, suit up. Lieutenant Green and I will carry two phasers. We will also carry the the transport enhancers. The goal of this mission is rescue the crew, first and fore most. While we get suited up, Mister Parker, Lieutenant Leres, find us a path from the Gorgon's hull to Deck 3 or 4."

GAME: Leres contests her Systems Engineering vs Routine and Fails.

GAME: Parker contests his Systems Engineering vs Routine and Succeeds.

Green's eyes gleam, even as she works on suiting up. "Two is good," she murmurs. "Very good indeed."

Nabrun hands one hypo to Adansae and takes another for herself. She shoots up, then turns to Krylow, all business.

Adansae takes the hypospray from the lieutenant, twitches a smile, then circles around in the opposite direction from Nabrun. She injects herself first, then Parker and Leres.

Leres enters the transporter room and starts to suit up. She is apparently quite familiar with the EVA suits. She pauses to allow Adansae to inject her, then looks to Krylow. "Off the top of my head, I don't have a route, sir. Let me finish suiting and I can get my PADD. It should be easy to follow from there." She makes no apologies for not having the PADD in hand. She turns to Parker then, "Unless you know right off, Mr. Parker?"

Parker moves to suit up, not one to dawdle when he knows what to do. He holds still as he gets the injection, shooting Adansae a quick, reassuring smile. The big quiet man doesn't talk much, but his gestures speak for him. "I do, Sir," he says, adressing both Leres and Krylow. "Quickest way is deck one access hatch. Might be tight space in EVAs that way though. Fore airlock on deck eight will take longer, but the halls are larger. I suggest the latter, if we want to be sure to not get stuck. That's assuming there's no major inner structure damage, however."

Krylow nods to Parker, as he slides his suit up to his shoulders. "Deck 8 it is," he says, beginning to pull the tether line from his utility belt out and offering it to Green. "Everyone tie up, and we will cross over to the Gorgon," he adds, letting Nabrun give him the injection. "I will check Mister Adansae's suit and vice versa. Lieutenant Green will check Lieutenant Nabrun's suit and vice versa and then the same for Mister Parker and Lieutenant Leres." He slides his helmet, presses the clasp closed and powers the suit on before turning to Adansae.

Green takes the line and slips it through the designated hook on her own belt, measures out a length, and neatly knots it in place. Tossing the free end toward Parker, she turns to wait patiently for all the injections to be finished.

Adansae finishes the round of injections and sets aside the hypospray to suit up. Once she's sealed inside, she turns to Krylow and allows him to check her gear before likewise checking his.

Nabrun heads over to Green to finish her injection, the last she has to do, then puts the hypo aside while she climbs into her EVA suit as well. Yes, she follows Green's lead with the line.

Leres gives a nod to Krylow as she finishes suiting up. Helmet on and clasped, suit powered on. She too secures her tether line from the belt and ties off. That done, she turns to Parker so that she can check his suit and allow him to check hers.

All sealed in so to speak, Parker makes a compulsory quick check down his own suit, secures the line and then begins checking Leres suit, going over the mental list of what's needed.

. o O Parker thinks, "Why is it that as soon as you put these on, your back starts itching?"

Krylow finishes checking Adansae's suit and gives her a nod before picking up his engineering kit and transport enhancers and starting for the transporter pad. He's careful not to tangle the tether lines and is soon enough waiting on the others.

Leres checks Parker's suit as well and gives a thumbs up once everything's been looked over. Once her suit and his checks out, she goes to collect her equipment for the mission. She too takes care to not get the tether lines all tangled. That accomplished, she heads for the transporter pad to take up her position.

Green watches Nabrun carefully, but not critically, before moving around the woman to check over the Betazoid's suitage. Finally nodding in satisfaction, she says, "Looks good, Counselor."

Adansae takes a deep breath within her sealed EVA suit as she follows Krylow onto the transporter pad, medical kit in hand.

Nabrun dips her head to Green then turns to perform the same checks, careful to check everything. "Looks good, Lieutenant," she says from the depths of the suit, then grabs a medical kit of her own.

Parker gathers up his own equipment and steps up on the transporter pad, standing next to Leres.

. o O Parker feels a kind of dreadful anticipation but also a great deal of determination of doing his utmost.

Once the team is assembled on the transporter pad, Krylow gives on of the other non coms a nod and the transport begins. They rematerialise outside of the Thomas Paine, over five hundred meters from the Gorgon, which drifts omniously in the distance.

As the team rematerialize's Krylow taps the controls on his wrist to engage the thrusters. After checking the team he taps them again and begins to drift towards the Gorgon, moving at a painfully slow rate. The whole time he watches the others to avoid trouble.

It's likely that zero-g training isn't something that prospective counselors focus their attentions on -- as soon as the group is outside the Thomas Paine, Adansae begin to struggle, slowing down the others on their approach towards the Gorgon.

Nabrun struggles just a little, but settles in to focus and just...move. Slow going, but it would seem that patience is a virtue that Barana possesses.

Leres helps make sure that everyone is okay as well. She moves easily with the group, helping those who might need a little extra help. This is obviously something she's done before.

Parker waits the few seconds needed to get his bearings after materializing in empty space, keeping a tight reign on things such as disorientation or panic. He looks around, then follows Krylow's example, turning a look at the ship itself then; material damage like that interests him, it's not for nothing he has the nickname 'Metal' from some.

Green doesn't seem to have any trouble, though she does look around once to find the source of slowing. She just looks at Adansae for a second, then turns her attention back to the little journey.

. o O Parker thinks, "What caused that explosion?"

When they finally reach the Gorgon, after several long minutes, they near the fore section of deck 8 and Krylow engages his magnetic boots, attaching himself to the hull of the ship. "Mister Parker, with Lieutenant Green shadowing you, lead us in. You picked the route so you've got point. Everyone else doing alright?" he asks, his voice raspy over the internal coms of the suits.

. o O Parker isn't that comfortable in the suit and in space like this but keeps it in check by focusing on the ship.

. o O Krylow remains focused, actually finding a little peace either in the zero-g trip across the void, or in actually doing something. Or maybe both.

. o O Nabrun is focused and relaxed, centered. There's a bit of excitement - one doesn't go on Zero-G romps every day.

Sssssssssnap, and Tay's boots seal to the broken hull as well, echoing dimly over her helmet pickup. "Feeling right at home, Lieutenant." She glances around to make sure everybody's safe and sound; it'd be bad to untether before they are.

Having regained a bit of control in the time spent traveling, Adansae gives Krylow a nod as she lands -- she's very pale, but looks determined to gut this out.

Nabrun lands as well, nose crinkling a bit behind her helmet. She stays put for the time being, waiting for others to land.

"Nothing like a little walk in space, Sir, with the right company," Parker rumbling voice echoes over the radio, tinny and raspy but still confident and warm, a hint of dry humor, perhaps in a try to 'lighten' the mood a little. If nothing else for his own sake. "Aye Sir," he adds and his feet thud heavily against the hull as the boots attach, and then he walks to the hatch and crouches down to open the plate to reach the control panel. Code entered, the hatch opens in absolute silence. He looks up to see everyone's safely nearby before he begins moving inside.

The Trill engineer holds back and waits for others to get situated and for Green and Parker to take point. Once she gets a chance to position herself in as well, she lets her boots hit and powers on the magnetic function. Leres speaks up once she's secure. "A okay, sir." She positions herself and readies her gear for travel.

The first thing that greets the team as Parker opens the hatch is a member of the crew. A young woman, once a non commissioned member of the crew, is now floating inside the access tube on the other side of the hatch. Its clear that some or all of the deck lacks both gravity and life support and this woman was a victim of that.

Having sent Parker and Green on ahead, Krylow remain where he is, waiting on those in front to move intothe Gorgon's bowls. He does spare and nod to Adansae. "You're doing just fine, Mister Adansae. Keep your eyes on the hull and don't look up."

With a nod to Krylow, Adansae remains right where she is, at his side -- and thus is spared the initial shock of coming face-to-face with the dead woman on the other side of the hatch.

Nabrun remains where she is, studying the body for a moment, then looks on to follow the others, the ones going in, with her eyes. There's no reaction from her.

Gela sees the dead woman, but she doesn't make any overt reaction to it. Instead, the engineer simply averts her gaze so that she doesn't have to look at the body.

Green lifts an eyebrow slightly at spotting the corpse. "Gorgon casualty," she murmurs over her mike, and adds for the medical folks' benefit, "Deceased. If you would kindly move it to one side, Chief?"

Parker's heart immediately leaps in his chest and beats faster as he comes face to face with the dead woman. He hesitates, visibly, then steels himself and moves inside. "No gravity or air," he announces. Then he does as Green suggests, gently turning the body so that its facing the wall, pushing it to the side.

. o O Parker thinks, "So young... I'll never get used to this. And let me never be used to it either."

"Let's keep moving people," says Krylow firmly. "I don't like to see dead officers, but we need to get to those we can save."

Taking her cue from Nabrun, Adansae betrays little reaction at Green's announcement or the sight of the body being moved aside. She waits, silently.

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Mental note, one dead. 30-50 still alive inside. Four in pods. Possible crew of 80. Don't look at her face."

Green steps forward almost before the corpse is removed from her path, to follow Parker in. A phaser in one hand, the spotlight on her other sweeps side to side, up and down.

GAME: Leres spends a courage point.

GAME: Leres contests her Personal Equipment/Tricorder+A vs Challenging and Succeeds.

Leres waits for the moving of the corpse and for Parker and Green to lead the way in. She spends the time using her tricorder to get a scan of the area ahead. "Sir, we have another body up ahead and to the right. About a hundred feet beyond we have some debris." She shakes her head. "I'm not sure if it's the tube we need or not for sure, but I know there is a tube before the debris. So I'm thinking that we're clear. I can't say for certain though." That done she passes in through the hatch.

. o O Green thinks, "Hope you didn't just jinx us, Leres."

Parker's magnetic boots thud on the surface, as he moves steadily onwards down the hall, his own lights playing back and forth in the dark, dismal area. Encouraged by Leres' example, he brings out his own tricorder and keeps it ready, scanning ahead. "We're clear. The tube we want is not that far down," he rumbles.

"Alright, get us down there Mister Parker," comments Krylow, beginning to move towards the front. "Leave your tricorder away for now. You can lead and the rest of us will watch out." Impatience is beginning to creep into tone, as he speaks.

Green swings her light to the walls, keeping an eye out for the tube as she clanks along.

Adansae doesn't appear to share Krylow's hurry to get inside the darkened and likely death-filled ship, but she follows along after him, her face pale and grim.

A second or two after Alek begins to move, Barana does as well, apparently on alert, given the posture under that suit. The face-plate can be seen to move from side to side as she tries to get her bearings in there, though her wrist remains out in front of her, mostly.

Leres follows along for now. She keeps her tricorder out and ready much the same way other smight keep a phaser at hand. She uses the light on her wrist to navigate the darkness.

. o O Krylow thinks, "Come on people, stop dragging your feet. We're wasting time."

Parker tucks the tricorder away. "Aye Sir," he rumbles and speeds visibly up, leading the way down the hall and to the tube that gives access to higher decks.

Krylow follows Parker, having now moved up to until he's rubbing shoulders with Parker and Green, more or less, until they reach the tube heading up. "Lieutenant Green, you're on point. Take us up three decks. Lieutenant Leres, myself, Mister Adansae, Lieutenant Nabrun and Mister Parker in that order. Double time, people," he says, then waits for Green and Leres to move up the tube before following.

Leres gives a nod to Krylow though he likely doesn't see it. "Aye, sir." That said, she moves to follow Green up the three decks.

"Aye, sir." Tay wastes no time in gliding forward, looking up the tube once before she sets to brisk climbing.

Nabrun settles in just behind Adansae, moving quickly as she keeps up with the others. Well, moving as quickly as one CAN in an EVA.

And Parker follows Nabrun, keeping up the pace.

Up the first two decks the goes, making easy progress, before reaching deck 6. Blocking the path up is a chunk of paneling. It can be moved, but not too easily, and its right in Green's path.

As they near the last deck to climb, Leres calls out, "I have five EVA suit signatures on deck six. They're about fifty feet or so off of this tube." She checks the tricorder again. "They are powered on, but there's no sign if there are even people in the suits, let alone if they are alive or dead."

Nabrun continues moving, though stumblesteps slightly. "Sir? Distress signal coming from Deck six. Sounds like...banging. Thumping. Does anyone else hear it?"

Green pauses, eyeing the chunk. "Of course," she mutters, slipping her phaser into her belt. "Everybody flatten-" She pauses, tilting her head. "Yeah, I hear it. S... O... S. What'd they call that? Horse code?"

Parker doesn't hear a thing and he peers around the others at his position in the back. "Sir, should we split up, some moving onwards with the transport enhancers and some going to check the survivors on deck six?"

Krylow shifts on the ladder, carefully undoing and then lowering the pouch that contains his set of enhancers. "Mister Adansae, Lieutenant Leres, and Mister Parker, take these and go find those people Set them up and signal the Paine to beam them out. Rejoin us when you're done. Lieutenant Green, clear our path and get us moving again."

. o O Parker thinks, "There's perhaps fifty people up ahead..."

. o O Krylow is almost single minded in his focus to get to the survivors and start getting them out of the ship. Every second that passes only agitates him more.

Adansae tips her head to one side, frowning as she attempts to make out the sounds that others are hearing. At Krylow's command, she immediately straightens and moves to group up with Leres and Parker.

GAME: Green contests her Athletics vs Moderate and Succeeds.

Nabrun remains where she is, tapping her medkit against her leg once, as if to reassure herself that it's still there. "We've got under two hours," she tells the others quietly.

Green nods once, looking up again. "Right, sir." She heads up another few rungs, to the point where she's bending onder the debris with it against her shoulder. "Heads up, in case this doesn't go where I want it to." And she lifts- with her legs, steering the chunk out of her way. A final push wedges it clear of the pathway, or at least enough to let folks as fit as Starfleet officers get by. And up she goes, heading for the next floor.

. o O Parker feels relief that there's enough people to take care of both ends of survivors.

"Aye, Sir," Parker rumbles with warm confidence, as if he was just asked to go make sure the next crew party has sufficient enough drinks. He pushes off the ladder, turning towards deck 6. This time, he takes his scanner out and holds it out as he proceeds down the corridor in search of those Morse-code sending survivors.

Green, Krylow and Nabrun continue up the tube, moving carefully past the chunk of the panel, and on towards deck 5 where the tube comes to an end. The end of the tube is an access panel which opens out into a deck 5 hallway.

Green pauses, still breathing easily. She doesn't bother looking down for the rest of her group, instead reaching to push at the access panel. And again, a little harder. With a shake of her head, she gives it a real shove, nodding in satisfaction, she leans sideways to peer onto Deck 5, and moves through the hatch.

Krylow follows Green out and into the hallway, turning to check on Nabrun. "There should be access to turbolift tube along here. We're going to need to move up one deck and then try and get ahold of the survivors. If we crack open the lift to Deck 4, we'll vent they're atmosphere. They need to clear a room and seal it, for us to enter. I want you to both try and reach them," he says, moving long to look for the lift access.

GAME: Nabrun contests her Projective Telepathy vs Routine and Succeeds.

. o O Nabrun extends herself just a little. "This is LTJG Barana Nabrun with the USS Thomas Paine. Can anyone hear me? Are there any telepaths who can hear me? Anyone?

. o O Sholon thinks, "Hello? This is Ensign Sholon, Conn Officer with the Gorgon. Where are you?"

Nabrun dips her head. "Aye, Sir," she says quietly to Krylow, moving ahead. She seems to switch to autopilot, however. "Sir...I've found someone."

Green takes a quick look around, and heads down the corridor a bit to find a working comm unit. "Okay, don't die on me, baby," she tells it, getting to work. A brief glance back toward Nabrun, but Tay doesn't stop working.

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Good evening, ENS Sholon. We're about to come into Deck 5. Can you give me a report?"

Krylow reaches the lift doors, before turning back towards Nabrun. "What do you mean, you've found someone, Lieutenant? You can feel one person, or you've found a telepath?" he asks, turning to inspect the doors.

. o O Sholon thinks, "We're trapped here, with just failing life support and backup power. We're not even sure what happened. There are fifty-six crew members here. If you come up to deck 4, won't that kill us when you open the hatches?"

GAME: Green contests her Shipboard Systems vs Moderate and Succeeds.

Nabrun's expression is distant, but she replies, quietly. "I've found a telepath, Sir," she says quietly. "I asked for a report. What should I specifically be asking for? I asked for a general situation." She pauses again. "They're trapped with just failing life support and backup power. Fifty six crew."

"Aha!" Tay exclaims softly to herelf. Push this, lever that. "Gorgon crew, this is Lieutenant Green of Station 419-Upsilon. Rescue teams are on board, but we need you to seal yourselves in a room so we don't vent your atmosphere coming in. Acknowledge, please."

Krylow works at the lift and its access panel for a moment before stepping back. "Tell them that we're going to come up the lift tunnel in section 5. They need to clear the hallway. Once we reach deck 4, we'll seal it again and they can come out. I'm ready as soon as they are."

. o O Nabrun thinks, "We're trying to work that out, ENS. We're going to come up the lift tunnel in section 5. You need to clear the hallway. Once we reach deck 4, we'll seal it again and you can come out. Let me know when you're ready."

Nabrun nods to Krylow. "Aye, Sir," she says quietly, and apparently starts playing Betazoid relay.

. o O Sholon thinks, "I'll tell Captain Sunderland. We're going to need a few minutes, I think. I will let you know what's happening in a minute."

From the com panel come, at first, nothing but a crinkly static. Then a voice over it. "This is Chief Patz. I hear you. Where do you need us to clear?"

Green glances again toward Nabrun, but, well, redundant plans are a good thing. "We're coming up the lift tunnel in section 5. We need that corridor cleared, then we'll seal it again once we get in. At which point y'all can emerge again. Roger that, Chief?"

Krylow remains quiet, waiting on the other two.

. o O Sholon thinks, "The Captain says will we need five minutes to clear that area and seal. We're already working."

Nabrun nods to something. "Captain Sunderland says they'll need five minutes to clear the area. They're already working, Sir."

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Excellent, thank you, ENS. How many injured do you have there, currently?"

From the com panel comes a new voice. "This is Captain Sunderland. Mighty good to hear you. We're already working. Give us, oh, four more minutes and we'll be ready."

. o O Sholon thinks, "I think its twelve, but I haven't been helping medical."

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Anything else you think the CO needs to know at this point, ENS?"

Green's eyebrows lift a bit. "Four minutes, yes, sir," she aims into the comm, and she gives Krylow a nod before glancing toward her chrono.

. o O Sholon thinks, "I don't think so, no."

"Good to hear," replies Krylow quietly. "Now we wait and count the seconds," he adds, turning to look towards Nabrun. "Anything else to add, Lieutenant?"

Nabrun's lips purse and she shakes her head. "No, Sir. Estimated twelve wounded, but the ENS isn't helping with Medical. And my gut instinct says to check the seal before we meet up with them." Her shoulders roll, but otherwise she remains still, poised.

Parker and Adansae clambor out of the tube and into the deck 6 hallway. Seveal panels along the wall have blown out along with one full EPS conduit. Rubble and light garbage floats around. Two more bodies drift ahead, one marked with the burns from an exploding panel. Otherwise the hallway ahead is clear.

Parker lets the lights from his wrist play across the debris but doesn't let it linger on the bodies. "Careful," he says quietly but distinctly as he moves onwards more cautiously, not wanting his EVA suit to get stuck in something. The scanner is held out. "You hearing something?" he asks, straining his eyes and ears.

Adansae has her tricorder out, scanning for signs of life. The light at her wrist is spasmodically jerked here and there as she attempts to light the way for them. At Parker's question, she again tips her head forward and to one side, dog-like.

Ahead the hallway continues to extend in darkness, lit only by the wrist lamps.

Parker cocks his head and pauses momentarily. He makes a grunting sound and continues onwards with more determination, ducking under a floating piece of panel and pushing some lose wires to the side. "I hear them," he says, pointing his light at something further down the corridor.

Adansae is forced to admit, "I don't hear anything." She seems understandably uneasy about being the only one not hearing what the others have picked up. Still, she nods to Parker and follows along behind him, doing her best to light their path as he leads the way.

After a few more moments the two can both easily hear the thumping and baging, coming from a doorway ahead on the right.

"Check the readings... correlates with Lieutenant Leres' readings on the EVAs," Parker rumbles confidently, feeling a little bolt of energy at possibly being able to rescue those up ahead. Some other debris is pushed aside and he stops in front of the doorway and leans in to examine it.

GAME: Adansae contests her Personal Equipment vs Routine and Succeeds.

At last, she hears! Hurrying now, Adansae strides up to the doorway and scans with her tricorder. "Six alive," she reports, a touch of excitement in her voice now. "All inside EVAs."

GAME: Parker contests his Intellect/Logic vs Challenging and Marginally Succeeds.

Parker straightens up, turning so he can see Adansae, and cracking her a grin at the good news she's bringing. Then, he lifts a fist and bangs three times on the door in rapid succession, just to let those inside know someone's out there before he begins to push at the door in an attempt to open it up.

GAME: Parker spends a courage point.

Adansae shines her light around the room in a scattered search. "Maybe there's something we can use to pry it open with," she suggests as the other officer struggles with the door.

When Parker rally puts his back into it the door slowly slides open. After a moment its far enough open that the trapped officers inside begin to push out, clearly happy to be freed from the room. One of them however holds up his wrist control panel for Adansae to see.

When Parker forces the door open without any assistance, Adansae turns to look at him in amazement, but that expression is quickly chased away as she catches sight of the control panel she's able to glimpse through the crack. "They have five, ten minutes tops," she informs Parker briskly, "before their suits run out of power."

Parker's only reply is a few grunting noises and wheezes as he's putting one foot against the side of the door and using every ounce of his strength to push the door open. Those days in the gym are paying off. He greets the escaping officers with rapt attention, and then sticks his head into the room they were in, sweeping with the lights to make sure nobody's still in there. That's all the time he wastes though before crouching down to set the transport enhancer on the floor, securing it. He gestures insistantly at it so the officers will understand, then points to his helmet in a silent question to see if anyone can turn a radion on briefly. "We get them out now. Can you contact the Paine and let them know six are ready to be transported out?"

The officers glance to each other and shake their heads to Parker. Apparently no one wants to power on their radios.

When the officers respond in a negative, Adansae hits her combadge: "Ensign Adansae to Thomas Paine: six ready to transport on our signal." She waits until all are inside the area within the transport enhancer permitter, joining Parker's motions for them to move, move quickly.

It takes a moment for the Paine to respond. When it does the signal is weak and choppy. "This...Paine. 6 life... Confirm please?"

Parker moves to set the other two out, making a triangle that he gestures for them to hurry into, nodding his understanding about the radios. Hearing the response from Paine, he frowns at the weak signal, but lets Adansae continues talking.

"Six to transport," Adansae responds, speaking slowly and clearly. "Repeat: six to transport on my signal."

Again the signal is choppy. "Paine..by. Repeat...standing by."

"Transport six now," Adansae returns into her combadge. "Now."

Parker steps away, sweeping his light over the area to make sure no floating devices come too close. Then he waits, turning another warm grin at the survivors even if it might be hard to see in the dark.

After a few seconds the transporter signal appears and sweeps up the six EVA clad Gorgon officers. A few seconds later the transporter signal fades and they are gone. "..successful. Repeat, ...." comes the signal from the Paine.

Adansae all but slumps in relief as she releases a long-pent-up breath. Once the officers shimmer away, she looks to Parker and, for the first time, smiles. "Well done," she notes softly. "Let's get back to the others."

Parker looks equally relieved. "Aye, Sir," he responds with a noticeably more cheerful tone to his voice, returning the smile. He bends down and retrieves the enhancers, gathering them up neatly before he begins marching back the way they came, lights sweeping back and forth and scanner held ready.

On Deck 5 Krylow, Green and Nabrun continue to wait, the seconds slowly dragging into minutes as they wait in the void of atmosphere and gravity. Behind them the flashing and moving lights from Leres, Parker and Adansae light up the open entrance of the jeffreys tube as the other half of the group move to catch up.

As he spots the lights and movement Krylow takes a few steps towards the the tube exit and waits until the three have joined himself, Nabrun and Green before speaking. "How did things go? Did you find anyone?"

Leaned against the wall near the lift shafter, Tay looks around, her hand dropping to the phaser at her side. Only when she can visually identify the trio does she relax and look back at her chrono again.

Nabrun looks back toward the others arriving, but seems a touch distracted, for whatever reason.

. o O Nabrun thinks, "How are things going, Ensign? Please keep talking to me."

Leres heads in with Parker and Adansae. "Six sir. They had little time left before their EVA suits ran out of power. Mr. Parker managed to get the door open and set the transport enhancer. Mr. Adansae contacted the Paine. All six were beamed out to the Paine safely, sir."

. o O Sholon thinks, "We're almost there, Lieutenant. The Captain is checking a few last things."

Parker is walking behind the other two, occasionally letting the lights sweep back in the tube behind him out of old cautious habit. Once reaching the rest, he takes a gander at the situation, nodding a greeting. "Situation here, Sir?"

Adansae listens while Leres spells it out plainly, nodding along. Once Krylow has been updated about their status, she looks back to him for the answer to Parker's question.

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Do you know of any radiation sickness or poisoning, Ensign? I know you're not with medical, but you're closer than I am. We've got two doctors with the team."

. o O Parker's feelings turn from somewhat exhilirated to very serious again the closer he gets to the rest of the group as the situation once more imposes on him.

Krylow gestures towards Green and Nabrun. "The Lieutenants are waiting on word from deck 4. They're clearing out the hallway above us and sealing it so we can enter safely. When they give the all clear, I want you two," he says, turning to Leres and Parker, "to run full scans and try and verify its safe. Lieutenant Nabrun, Mister Adansae, make sure you're ready to treat their wounded. Lieutenant Green, there might be panic and paranonia. Keep your eyes peeled."

. o O Sholon thinks, "The doctors said there was poisoning that's affecting us all, but I can't see a problem yet."

GAME: Nabrun contests her Receptive Empathy vs Moderate and Fails.

"Right, Lieutenant," Green nods, unsurprised at the order. Yet again, she doublechecks both phasers she's carrying, ensuring they're set only to stun.

Leres gets her tricorder in hand, giving an affirmative to Krylow. "Aye, sir. On your command I'll scan ahead to see if it's safe."

Adansae quickly moves to Nabrun's side, looking both far more composed than she did earlier and ready to get the difficult part of this mission underway.

Nabrun reaches down to squeeze her medkit more tightly. "The doctors say that they're affected by some radiation. Mr. Adansae, keep that in mind. Twelve, possibly more injured."

. o O Sholon thinks, "I think we're ready. The Captain's heading to the com panel, so you'll hear when I do."

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Ensign, what seems to be the general state up there? How are people feeling? Is anyone acting oddly or out of sorts that you can see? Excellent, thank you, Ensign."

. o O Nabrun has a bubble of calm and serenity around her, reassurance all but radiating along with feelings of competence. She trusts the team implicitly, apparently.

"Aye, Sir," Parker replies and moves a bit closer, brushing past Adansae and giving her another one of those looks of confidence as if wanting to instill courage just by a look. Not really in him to be wordy about things. The tricorder out, he waits patiently, counting seconds. "How much longer do we have personally, Sir?" he asks, directing the question to Nabrun. Not that he sounds particularly worried about not having enough time.

. o O Parker thinks, "Always a race against the clock."

"This is Sunderland," comes the voice from the companel near Green. "We are ready now. Come up and seal the lift behind you."

Krylow turns when he hears that. "That's it people. Lieutenant, Chief, do your scans," he calls out, turning to stride towards the lift.

GAME: Parker contests his Personal Equipment+A vs Moderate and Succeeds.

. o O Krylow is still frustrated by the wait, but as things begin to move again his frustration begins to fade to be replaced by trepidation.

She immediately sets about doing the tricorder scan requested. There's a moment's pause as she checks, then rechecks her readings. Leres turns to look at Parker. "Mr. Parker, I show that it's sealed. Do your readings confirm that?" She turns to Krylow then. "If Mr. Parker's readings show the same, it should be safe to move forward."

"Same readings here. It's safe, Sir," Parker rumbles immediately in response, looking expectantly at Krylow. Once more he waits for the others to move ahead though, to let the medical experts get first.

Nabrun's brow furrows slightly at something. "Thirty minutes, Chief," she tells Parker quietly. The medkit's ready, and she's still got that slightly distant look, as if she's hearing something that others aren't.

After holding Parker's gaze for a moment, Adansae gives a little nod to the empath's report. "Aye, sir -- we'll be ready." Her voice is very low, so not to interfere with other quickly-worded conversations taking place nearby. When Parker and Leres pronounce the room safe, she looks to Nabrun: after you.

Krylow nods to the two enginers. "Alright," he says, tapping the lift door controls. The door hisses and opens halfway, just enough to squeeze through. "Lieutenant Green, you're first up. Mister Parker, you go next with these, he says handing the man his set of transport enhancers. As soon as you reach deck 4 start setting those up. Lieutenant will have the second and she will work with Lieutenant Nabrun and Mister Adansae. Our medical staff will find the critical ill or injured and get them evacced. If they can't move, then you set the enhancers up around them Gela. I will will seal the door as soon as we reach deck 4. Let's move."

Green is, again, not surprised. "We're on our way, Captain. Green out." Tapping the comm panel off, she flows into the lift tube to swarm her way up the ladder inside.

Parker takes the enhancers and then follows in the wake of Green, pushing himself upwards.

. o O Green gleefully thinks, "Gods, I love this. Well, not the reason for us being here. But being in action, playing human shield... Oh hell yeah."

Adansae follows just behind Nabrun, medkit in hand, intent expression still in place.

Leres readies herself and heads out once it's time for her to fall in line. "Aye, sir."

. o O Sholon thinks, "Things are as well as you can expect for people who were expecting to die ten minutes ago. I really don't know."

Nabrun just shakes her head slightly then looks to Ada and nods. "Ready, Sir," she says quietly.

The team takes a moment to clamber up the ladder and reach deck 4. The short hallway there is empty, with all the doors sealed.

Green pokes an eye up and around the threshold, glancing around, before she finishes the climb and moves into the corridor. "All clear so far," she calls softly over her suit comm.

Leres puts her tricorder away and readies the transporter enhancers she's toting around. She makes a brief check of them before she gives a look to Nabrun. "You tell me who needs out that can't walk to a common point. I'll be your personal enhancer totin' honey."

Nabrun murmurs quietly into her com, "You go to the left, Mr. Adansae, and work in a clockwise manner. I'll go to the right. Fast triage and we can cover more ground that way, once we get to the injured. I have the feeling they'll have them in one general area." She pulls her medical tricorder out and tucks it where it can be quickly accessed. She nods to Leres and grins a bit. "Trail me, LT Leres, please? We'll try to get them in one general area, if possible."

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Ensign, do you know if medical has the injured in one general area?"

GAME: Krylow contests his Systems Engineering+A vs Challenging and Succeeds.

After listening to Nabrun's instructions, Adansae pulls out her medical tricorder and prepares to do as asked.

GAME: Nabrun contests her Receptive Empathy vs Moderate and Marginally Succeeds.

Parker waits near the door for the corridor to be sealed.

Krylow works at the lift for a moment, before the can get the door to slowly slide shut. Another moment and he announces, "There, its sealed. And the backup systems are giving us breathable atmosphere. Another 20 seconds and we can take our helmets off. Let them know Lieutenant Nabrun."

. o O Nabrun thinks, "We're in and it's sealed. Twenty seconds until we can remove our helmets, Ensign."

. o O Sholon thinks, "I will tell the Captain."

Nabrun nods, once, to Krylow. "Aye, Sir. ENS Sholon's telling the Captain. They were advised 20 seconds until we could take our helmets off, and that we're in.

Green moves a bit down the corridor, as much to get out of the way for her teammates as to check the vicinity.

Parker sets out the enhancers in the corridor, so people can easily step into the triangle and be beamed out quickly.

First one then another and then a third of the doors hiss softly as they are pushed open as officers begin to stream onto into the hallway. They are lead by a tall mall with short blonde hair and Captain's pips. "We're glad to see you. The wounded are this way," he says, gesturing to the doorway he came out of.

Krylow reaches up and unclasps his helmet and pulls it off. "Captain, please start getting your people here and we'll transport them out from here. The Paine can take six at a take. Mister Parker and Lieutenant Green will help to organize that. Mister Adansae, Lieutenant Leres, Lieutenant Nabrun, let's start getting the wounded off of here."

Nabrun is clearly anticipating Krylow's order, but doesn't move until he gives the OK. Her helmet comes off, tricorder comes out, and she's headed for where the Captain indicated the wounded were located. The Betazoid looks composed, focused.

Medical tricorder in hand, Adansae strides through the doorway and heads to the right. She quickly works her way around the room, assigning the wounded into groups and directing the most critically-injured towards Leres and the transport enhancer.

. o O Nabrun thinks, "Thank you, ENS Sholon. See you aboard the Paine."

Green turns, straightening a trifle to nod at the Captain. Her eyes roving across the Gorgon officers, she steps forward to start working on the transport logistics with a call to the Paine.

Leres gets her helmet off and tags along after Nabrun with the transport enhancer. She looks around at the various wounded as they go. She comments to Nabrun, "Barana, get me the six most wounded to get out of here first. Six at a time as you can."

"Sir," Parker greets the Captain and gestures at the enhancers set out to indicate them, his helmet now removed.

The Captain begins to bark separate his people, dividing them into groups of six. There is a little pushing, but over all it goes well enough. Soon enough there are at least seven groups assembled and waiting.

Krylow, for his part, chooses a spot where he can watch both the room where Leres, Nabrun and Adansae are working, and where Parker and Green are working to getting everyone off the ship.

It doesn't take long for Adansae to identify a group of injured who are too critical to be moved -- several of them are obvious to the naked eye: a man with severe plasma burns, another bleeding heavily from his midsection. "Over here," she calls to Leres before looking to Nabrun to see how things are going on her side of the room.

Nabrun makes her way over to one man, crouching as she does her magic with the tricorder. "LT Leres," she calls. "One too injured to move. Massive internal injuries. I'll need a site to site, Paine sickbay."

Green finally takes her helmet off, satisfied there's no immediate threat of panic and paranoia. "-o, that's not what I said. Repeat. You can begin transports now, Pai- Standby." A quick glance to Nabrun. "Belay that. Transport on Lieutenant Leres' mark, site to site to our sickbay."

Parker keeps a close 'ear' to what Green is saying, nodding over at her that he understands and turns to on e team waiting explaining the situation. He continues to oversee and help the crew to get transported off safely.

Leres moves over to Nabrun shouting to Adansae. "Let's get this one, then I'll be over to you, Mr. Adansae." She gets to the critically injured man and sets up the enhancers for the transport. She uses the comm. "Leres to Paine. One to beam up."

Green's request to belay the orders came a moment too late, and the first group from her and Parker's side are gone. A moment later something close to an affirmation comes over Leres' combadge and that man is picked up by the transporters.

Krylow continues to watch quietly, mostly staying out the way, but certainly paying careful attention to things.

The patient indicated by Nabrun is one of those identified by Adansae as the most-critical; when Leres prepares to transport her, she moves her attention to the others. "Just a few minutes," she assures the others while administering hypospray to a burn victim.

Nabrun straightens and nods to Leres then goes immediately back to triage. "Group them in sixes, ENS Adansae," she calls quietly.

Once the man is taken out, Leres moves over to the group that Adansae had identified. "Do you have six or can you move six in, Mr. Adansae?" That said, the engineer begins to set up the enhancers. "Once we get six in, we beam out, move to the next group of six."

Green shakes her head slightly as the transports occur, but doesn't seem annoyed. She waits semi-patiently for the wounded to be triaged for transport, though she does comment, "Limited time frame, gentlemen."

Adansae returns to her task of sorting the wounded into groups of six, instructing those unable to move to stay where they are for the moment.

Krylow watches the events on the medical side. "No, if they are too injured then do them one at a time. Lieutenan Green, you get a group off while Lieutenant Leres, Lieutenant Nabrun and Mister Adansae get set. Keep it moving. Grouping injured takes too long."

Leres nods to Krylow. "Aye, sir." That said, she calls for the Paine. "Leres to Paine. More to beam straight to the sickbay on my mark." That said, there's a moment taken to make sure the enhancers are set, then she gives a headcount for those going out as she gives the Paine her mark to beam them out.

Green nods once. "Aye, Lieutenant." And she turns to her own organization. "Next group, Paine. Energize." "... gain?" Tay starts to speak in pauses, trying to get the words in between bursts of static, as she continues the communication.

Nabrun continues her work, getting those who are mobile enough to group out to Tay, working quickly and quietly, with soft, efficient words for those she's working with. Tricorder scans are done as she goes, just to be on the safe side. "Aye, Sir," she calls to Krylow in acknowledgement of what he said.

Again the transports begins to work, taking Green's group of six, then the three Leres could prep, then another group from Green's side and so on. The critically wounded clear out first, leaving the walking wounded and crew. As Green, Adansae and Nabrun work with the last ew groups, Krylow calls out to Leres. "Lieutenant Leres, we've got power here. Find a console. You should be able to access the auxiliary deflector dish. With a little work you should be able to adjust it to scan the whole ship for other life signs. I want to make sure we don't like anyone behind."

GAME: Nabrun contests her Receptive Telepathy vs Moderate and Fails.

Nabrun continues her work until all of the wounded are either walking out or transported out. And then she stops, head tilted to the side, eyes going distant again.

Leres gets herself to a console and immediately, and wordlessly, begins to work on the task that Krylow set her on. She taps at the console for a few moments. "Got it sir. I have access to the auxiliary deflector dish and..." She smiles. "Got it scanning the ship now, sir." She taps a few more times. "And I'm not showing any other life signs. This is it, sir."

Once all the wounded have been tended to, Adansae rejoins Nabrun's side and waits for any further information.

Krylow nods to Leres and then turns to the others. Green and Parker have just cleared out the last of the Gorgon's crew. "Alright, gather your gear people and then gather inside the enhancers. Double time." Even though the rescue is done, Krylow's still pushing his team to move quickly it would seem. For his part he patrols the area, so to speak, making sure everyone is moving inside the enhancers.

Leres collects the enhancers she had used for the critically wounded, her helmet, and her engineering kit. No sense leaving anything. That done, she heads over to the ones set up by Parker to join the others.

Green does not hesitate to move swiftly at Krylow's order, though her brow is vaguely furrowed. She's not looking at him, though- she's pondering Leres thoughtfully.

Adansae quickly gathers up her supplies and moves inside the transport enhancers with the others.

. o O Green thinks, "No other life signs. Is the rest of the crew dead? We only found, what, two lifepods?"

Nabrun heads toward the enhancers, shaking her head, making sure that any and all stragglers. She's got her supplies, she's got everything she needs, and is ready to go.

Once the is gathered Krylow calls for the beam out, and a moment later they reappear on the Paine's transporters. "Alright, let's get out of these and back to the bridge. There is still work to be done."

Green peels out of her suit, still in double time. "Aye, sir," she says firmly. With just a touch of reluctance, she gives up her mission phasers, and moves swiftly for the lift and the bridge.

Adansae quickly strips out of her EVA and takes a half-strangled breath of fresh air -- well, fresher air. "Aye, sir," she echoes before following directly behind Green.

. o O Nabrun thinks, "And I'm proud of you."

Leres follows the example of the others and shimmies out of the EVA like she's been doing it all of her life. She gets everything checked in and heads for the lift. Work, work, work. No rest for the wicked.

Nabrun sheds her EVA like a snake in molting season, gets it put away in quicktime, then is heading for the lift - and the bridge beyond. "Aye, Sir," she says, just behind the rest.

As the team moves back to the bridge, having paused long enough to strip off the EVA suits, Krylow relieves the man in command with a hand motion. "Good work out there people. Very good work. Now let's get those escape pods." The officer manning the conn nods to Krylow and the Paine moves away from the Gorgon.

The camera cuts away, showing the Paine sweeping through space to collect the escape pods. As the camers shows this Krylow's voice can be heard in in another voice over. "Commanding Officer's log, supplemental. We recovered sixty-two crew from the Gorgon, though ultimately sixty-one survivied. One died in sickbay during treatment. Sixty-one out of eighty. Nineteen officers died on the Gorgon, though after what we saw I think it a touch of luck that sixty-one survived. The Gorgon can be repaired and we even collected its core while waiting on the USS Accountability, part of the 17th, to arrive to tow the Gorgon to the Nai shipyards." As he finishes, the Paine banks past the Ambassador class Accountability and jumps to Warp.
