Stardate: 54860.2

Dakin added on 54808.3: Effective immediately, all Starfleet and Timefleet personnel on the station are to check out Type II phasers and carry them at all times. Additionally, Type III phaser rifles are also to be carried at all times by Timefleet officers and members of Station Security. If asked by civilians as to the nature of this sudden arming, per Commander Ghorev, we are to explain that "there is an increase in security due to the looming possibility of a military invasion of unknown strength." Details are to be explained as classified, though you may mention that the entire sector is on alert.

Turtledove added on 54860.2: With all unauthorized energy weapons now accounted for, this report is hereby closed. Special thanks to all who voluntarily rounded-up equipment, their own and otherwise, for making this a surprisingly easy process.

With a confirmed list of active departmental personnel, Ensign Hurley and I have begun a 4/2 shift split to effect much needed repairs to the Operations department and bridge. We are currently working at 50% strength. The following personnel (NCO NPCs) have been routed to Engineering to aid in repairs in that area as they are vastly more under manned then we currently are. Mister McKenna and Mister Lopez are asked to report to me for further details and to join the 4/2 schedule split we are currently working under. At this rotation schedule, we should have Ops back up and running within days. Thank you in advance for all your hard work.

In compliance with your laws governing such matters this would include only weapons shorter than three quarters of a meter in length. All of the weapons are traditional for such roles within our culture and those that an honorable warrior should carry. Myself, my doctor Haven, my aide Beraq and my religious advisor Kresh would carry D'k taghs while my honor guard Kroth would carry a set of Mek'leth.

Stardate: 54863.6

Foster added on 54863.1: I'd like to request assignment of family-sized quarters. If the quarters are already child-proofed, so much the better. In addition, I will be requisitioning/replicating supplies relevant to caring for of a 10-month-old human child.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
McKenna added on 54863.6: All taken care of. Lieutenant Lanie's quarters will be set up with a second bedroom during reconstruction and repairs; you can decorate to your heart's content once the Deck 10 repairs are complete and you can return to the quarters. I've checked the replicator protocols, and you won't have any problems replicating the basics of what you need. Anything you can't replicate is easily available. Hope that helps.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ghorev added on 54864.3: As far as genetics, the child's infantile nervous system, and the records of the rest of the galaxy are concerned, LTJG Lanie is that child's mother, and Station Command is of the opinion that a stitching together of a broken timeloop is no reason to bastardize or orphan a child unnecessarily. Until and unless there should be some legal challenge from the family of the last Mister Suslov, or Mister Lanie decides to put the baby up for adoption, that child is Mister Lanie's. Posthumous Medals
2005 Apr 01
Report Number 441
Completed By: Ghorev
Opened by: Malloy
Department: CO
Stardate: 54864.3

Malloy added on 54863.8: In the wake of the invasion fought off and the changes we brought to this timeline, I would like to propose that all our officers that fell in the line of duty on board this station be posthumously awarded the Federation Medal of honor for distinguishing themselves conspiciously by gallantry and intrepidity, giving their own lives in the course of the invasion. Their actions were above and beyond the call of duty and as by their deaths their counterparts of this timeline we are now in perished as well, it is the least we can do for those they left behind in this timeline.

This also extends to the civilians who perished, and I am moving for this medal, because among the benefits of this decoration is the one, that the children of Medal of Honor awardees arenot required to complete the Starfleet Academy Entrance Examination, and are automatically placed in the next available class.

We survivors have to thank those who gave their lives and make sure they are not forgotten.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ghorev added on 54864.3: While Station Command agrees with the sentiment, and requested consideration for some of the honored dead over a week ago, this is simply not likely to happen. The Federation Medal of Honor must be awarded specifically and explicitly by an act of the Federation Council, a matter of legislation by the entire deliberative body, and it is simply not within the realm of likelihood that we will receive consideration in the matter for a temporal event that only we remember. We have been, for over a week now, in search of other avenues, and will be planning a memorial as soon as the station is sufficiently repaired that we have a place from which to hold one safely. This report is closed and filed.

Complaint vs. LT JG King
2005 Apr 03
Report Number 421
Completed By: Harris
Opened by: Palmer
Department: CO
Stardate: 54869.2

Palmer added on 54857.5: On stardate 54857.5, LT JG King chose to escalate an already tense situation even more in the Warp Core by edging on a Klingon guest to this station by telling him, I quote, 'Take your best shot. Just remember, you're on my turf, and that within thirty seconds this deck could be flooded with Security personnel. /You/ injected your rude comment into a situation that you knew /nothing/ about. Let me ask you something, what would you do if I called your fiancee or wife a whore?' Given the fact that he was in uniform at that time and is per his billet a senior officer, he should know better not to let his temper run in a situation with the better part of the current Klingon Diplomat Detail, as well as bringing danger to civilians just happening to be in the Core for a coffee.

Present were ENS Zevarin, LT JG Dane, Mister Thorne, a Science Lieutenant - I believe one LT Shamash, as well as three male and one female Klingon. As to the origin of this exchange I believe LT JG King misunderstood something one of the Klingons said.

I'd strongly encourage diplomatic basic training for LT JG King and would like a reassurance, that something like this will not happen again. I myself feel not inclined to end up as collateral damage the next time I am not able to de-escalate a situation like this in time. Starfleet Officers should know better...at least that was the standard when I was serving on the USS Enterprise under Captain Picard.

Signed,

Andrew Palmer, MD
Child Welfare Director S419U

Harris added on 54869.2: LTJG King has been confined to quarters and ordered to maintain a distance of ten meters from the Klingon delegation for the time being. 2005 Apr 03
Report Number 354
Completed By: Ghorev
Opened by: McKenna
Department: OPS
Stardate: 54869.2

McKenna added on 54839.3: With the untimely appearance of a late-manifesting Lithian in the Infirmary, the place has been considerably messed up. The following actions will be needed, at the very least, to bring the place back to functionality:
1)Hull breach needs to be repaired.
2)Hazmat cleanup crew to handle any leftover Lithian spit, as there was plenty to go around.
3)Equipment will need to be assessed and repaired or replaced. Inventory count needed to see what got lost to destruction and to vacuum.
4)Alternate space will be needed for a interim Infirmary, ASAP. This will undoubtedly be handled by Medstaff, but any help we can give will speed things up.
5)The morgue suffered damage as well, since the Lithian manifested inside it, and battered its way out.

I know it doesn't need to be said, but Infirmary remains one of our top priorities for regaining and maintaining full functionality.
