Department: SEC
Stardate: 54640.1

Ghorev added on 54584.8: Yesterday, USS Thomas Paine was attacked by not one, but eight Romulan Warbirds while responding to a distress call. It returned home intact, with a full crew, solely due to excellent Starfleet-Timefleet personnel interaction on the bridge. With that in mind, I am ordering that, for the near future, owing to the possibility that this foreshadows an active incursion by at least one faction of the Romulans' current 'civil war' partipants into Dulcais Sector, the Operations Center will be staffed at all times by an officer qualified to stand at Tactical -- for duration of this heightened sensitivity status, no distinction will be drawn between Starfleet, Timefleet, and allied officers as long as they are loyal to the Alliance, willing and able to stand the post, and can demonstrate competence in warfighting and tactics. Consider this, in short, orders to begin emergency certification as necessary to make sure that the Tactical *and* Security positions in ops are filled around the clock. During any duty shift stood at these stations, officers not normally assigned to this station's Security section will be considered to report to the Security section chain of command instead of their usual chain of command.

Novairen added on 54640.1: The directives issued already were or have been met. Additional concerns added by Timefleet have been addressed. Report closed and filed.

Subcataneous Communicators
2004 Dec 30
Report Number: 380
Completed By: Tyler
Opened By: Krylow
Department: TIME
Stardate: 54643.0

Krylow added on 54496.6: Persuant to the discussion I had with Lt. Takamura regarding equipment preparation for an upcoming mission I investigated new communications options. Lt. Takamura was looking for something quieter to use while on missions.

Subcutaneous Communicators has been sucessfully deployed by Starfleet in the past. These communicators would be surgically implanted prior to the mission. They use direct bone conduction to transfer incoming messages from the communicator to our ears, thus rendering incoming communications completely inaudible to anyone else. The communicators would also be able to pick up what we say, even if its said in a whisper.

I believe these units will meet the needs expressed by Lt. Takamura and add to our tactical arsenol. I am forwarding with this report the full schematic and information file for the units. Consider this a formal recommendation that these units be added to our standard equipment inventory for use on all future missions.

Siinogan Chrysalis
2004 Dec 30
Report Number: 413
Completed By: Tyler
Opened By: Fioravanti
Department: TIME
Stardate: 54643.0

Fioravanti added on 54549.4:
At approximately (2304 Eastern, RL), Starfleet Ops sensors detected a Siinogan vessel approximately 5ly out. LT McCauley, LT Haven, ENS Valentine (all of Starfleet) and myself were present. Viewscreen contact was made with Sivenki'than of the Siinogan, who indicated he was approaching on behalf of the Goddess. Sivenki'than is described as a dark green praying mantis appears on the viewscreen. Two, huge, purplish ovoids that serve as eyes stick out of the sides of its triangular head, and four antenna feelers protrude from the top of the head. A pair of mandibles swing around the mouth, parting and coming back together like scissors. A violet cloth with yellow inscriptions hangs around its neck, draping down its sides, and it holds a huge wooden staff in one hand.
On the third request for their ship to stop, a six foot pod was launched toward S419 Upsilon. Those present were transported to the USS Paine in order to intercept and the station was placed on Yellow Alert. The pod, which contains a slowly growing life form, like any Chrysalis, was pulled in via tractor beam and placed in quarantine aboard the Paine. The proper equipment was transported from the station to the Paine for further investigation.
LT Haven appears to be the contact for this.

Opened By: Edwards
Department: TIME
Stardate: 54643.0

Edwards added on 54206.1: <Eyes only Lieutenant Tyler and Commander Ghorev.> Where to start? I probably should note that when I first met Lieutenant Tyler, it was when I met a man named Ram Domingo in the Neutral Zone about three years ago, and he took me to Captain Winnifred Sinclaire on her USS Aegis. She had kidnapped Lieutenant Tyler for the second time, and turned her over to me on the condition that I allow her access to Tyler whenever she wanted. I agreed at the time because Sinclaire told me about the Lithian threat and that she was attempting to stop it. I was young and naive. Later, Sinclaire contacted me on the station and tested my loyalty by demanding the station's command codes. I refused. Since that time, I've had other confrontations with Sinclaire. Once, she transported me to her Aegis and used her artifact to show me the end of her timeline, when she fled the Lithian invasion as Wendy Tyler. The other times, up until recently, should be known to both recipients of this report, such as the 'Dark' Aegis' appearance at the Battle of Betazed and when the station was seized by the Jem'Hadar.
