Valentine wags a finger at Foster. "Since Craig ran off, you're gonna have to do the honors, Caleb."

Foster grins evilly, "Oh, I don't know. I might be able to surprise you. I've got the advantage of over six gruelling months under Lieutenant Takatine over you. I'm better than I look at that particular game." He asks, "Which honors do you mean, Tara?"

Harris turns his gaze to Krylow, offering a nod. "Alek."

Takamura smirks at Foster at his continued butchering of his name. "I believe she is referring to the toast, Caleb."

Krylow nods politely to Harris, and says, "Good evening, Rob." The turns to Foster and chuckles. "Caleb, my drink of choice is vodka, straight. Most people consider that torture. Then again most people haven't meet Leiutenant Valamura either." Then he chuckles and looks to Valentine. "What honours indeed," he says, shaking his head.

Milara darts among the dirty tables, cleaning them up.

Valentine tilts her head in Tak's direction. "I was indeed." She gives Krylow an amused look. "I'm gonna have an identity crisis before the night is through, thanks to you two."

Nilee has arrived.

Torin has arrived.

"Don't worry. It passes," Harris replies with a grin.

Foster nods at that, and then pauses thoughtfully. He lifts his glass. "To Ensign Tinemura and Lieutenant Valentaka - you know, that last one sounds a little like the name of a Romulan class of ships - may you live in happiness and light for a long, long, long, LONG, LONG time." Though he clearly sounds like he's joking, there is something to that. He pauses. "May your love only grow stronger and tighter, binding you two each other in the way that only love can. And, hopefully, may you not keep Lieutenant Green up nights anymore, due to reinforcement of tritanium walls." Yes, okay, he IS a smartass...

Nilee sits up slowly, having fallen sprawled on the ground. He rubs the side of his head, trying to shake off the vertigo. "What the-" He squints his eyes, glancing around the room, trying to get his bearings. Still sitting on the floor.

Torin hears noises...strange noises. A light sound of complaint emits from his lips as his eyes begin to work open, wincing shifting as he starts to get up a complaint of, "Wha....WHA." He says in confusion as he tries to get up, and shakes his head, once, twice, and three times trying to return colors to normal, confusion evident on his face. Quickly he takes stock trying to raise his hands to his head to search for head injuries it seems poking.

Foster adds, "Hey, I never said I was good at the whole toasting thing."

Takamura shakes his head, looking over to Tara with a grin. "I wish Craig would have been here. His replacement isn't quite working out." To Foster, he quips, "I can tell. You must have skipped that class at the Academy."

Considering the look Tara's giving Foster- though she's pasted on a smile- she'd agree with his latter comment. She merely says, "Thank you, Caleb. Drink up, folks."

"Bah," Foster says. "Bah, I say."

Harris finally claims some champagne for himself, and drains the flute quickly.

. o O Valentine thinks, "Funnnnnny, Caleb. Not."

Nilee lifts his hands to his eyes, to rub them, as he squints again, assuming the disturbance in his vision to be a result of the vertigo. He rubs them again, and then looks around him, "Mo?" He asks as he sees him, "Are you ok?"

Krylow chuckles softly at the end joke and raises his glass to the others. Then he lifts the glass and takes a drink from it. To Valentine he says, "You know, Tara, you're asking the one man on the team who always talks to make a toast. You're lucky it was that short."

Torin pauses for several moments taking it in. He grunts, "I...think so sir. I must have hit my head. My vision's all..." He furrows his brow, "What happened...the safeties seemed alright. How'd we get here?" He says furrowing his brows and reaching towards his ear he tugs at it in thought, he then waves at the group at the bar, "Anyone know what happened?" He asks curiously.

Nilee shakes his head slowly, pushing himself up, very slowly, off the floor, "I don't know what happened," he replies, "Nothing was out of place... the experiment should have been contained..." he reaches out a hand to help Torin off the floor, he shoots a glance over at the group, seeming to expect a reply. That's when he notices that no one's even given them much regard, "I..." he pauses, waving one hand in Valentine and Takamura's direction, "I don't think we've been noticed..."

Takamura lifts his glass, clinking it against Tara's before drinking the champagne.

Foster complains, "Nobody appreciates my humor. Maybe I should just go eat worms or something, for Ifni's sake."

Valentine shakes her head, letting herself chuckle, and gives Tak one of /those/ smiles before taking a sip of champagne. "Ah, in that case," she says to Alek, "I know precisely what to get Caleb for his birthday." Her eyes gleam with wicked merriment.

Torin shrugs quietly, "Well they're busy people don't always notice things." He offers lightly. He follows the officer's actions beginning to stand up as well, taking the hand to move up just as slowly blinking his eyes againd he shifts and hrmms, "My hearing, it's all...wierd. This hasn't happened before. Why would they put us here." He hrmms, "Well maybe Blutox will give us a drink?" He says hopefully and grunts, "Maybe we should go to sickbay?"

Foster chuckles, "I very much doubt that you'll remember whatever naughty thing you're thinking of in eight months, Tara."

Harris furrows his brows. "Never doubt a woman."

Krylow grins to Caleb. "She will, when I remind her Caleb," he sees with a wink.

Foster smirks, "I doubt *you* will remember either, Alek."

Valentine laughs. "It's a conspiracy! And you should listen to Rob. Older, wiser, all that stuff."

Nilee doesn't seem to get the reaction he was hoping from from the table of officers nearby. He looks over to Torin and shrugs, "Just a minute..." he walks the short distance to Valentine and Takamura's table, and pauses, "Did any of you see how we got here?" He asks, poking his head into the small crowd of people. This they can't ignore.

Takamura lowers his glass and looks at Foster. "*I* will remember."

"I don't have to, Caleb," says Alek. "I just need to tell Barana and she will never forget, with her memory and all."

Torin nods softly at Nilee and waits quietly at this he rubs at his eyes and goes to try and sit on a bar stool watching thoughtfully.

Harris just shakes his head. "Taking it all too far."

Nilee quirks his brow as he gets absolutely no response. He lifts up one arm and waves it in the middle of the group, still nothing. He purses his lips and turns around, looking to Torin, "I don't think they can even... see us. Or hear us."

Foster smirks, "I dare you. I double dare you, in fact." Not that he knows what he's getting into, but hey, there's just such a thrill getting in trouble.

Torin blinks, "Why wouldn't the....AAAAAAH!" He lets out a quick shout of surprise as he tries to sit on the chair and passes through it. He quickly jumps up scurrying back from the chair, "Whaaaa...the! It, the chair and! I, sit...no! But." He says in clear confusion and surprise then tentatively reaching a hand out he tries to grip the stool.

Valentine tips her head. "Oh, c'mon, Rob. We're just teasing him a bit." An eyebrow rises at Foster's challenge, and she grins. "Hey. I'm an engineer. I can /make/ the perfect gift. And Kait'll like it too."

Krylow eyes Tara and then looks to Rob. "Now /that/ is taking it too far."

Foster continues to smirk, "Only if she can wear it AND it's fashionable. Well, either that or she can eat it and it's chocolate."

Valentine nearly chokes on her champagne. Twice. First at Alek, then at Foster. "No, no, no, no. Baaad mental image there, boys."

Harris just groans.

<CONTEST> Torin contests his Intellect (Perception) skill vs a difficulty of Challenging and Succeeds!

Nilee quickens his pace as he sees Torin tumble, reaching a hand out to help him get up again. "I've got an idea of what might have happened... though I'm not quite sure how." With Torin steadied again, he glances around the room, and then down at his belt, pulling the tricorder off his belt, "I have a feeling that somehow, the forming interphase pocket put us slightly out of phase with our reality..."

<CONTEST> Nilee contests his Intellect (Perception) skill vs a difficulty of Challenging and Succeeds!

Takamura shakes his head, draining his glass and looking for a refill. Afterall this is supposed to be a celebration.

Krylow lifts his flass again, glancing to the others. "To be a a friend, and to change the topic, time for another toast. To two friends, my commanding officer and one of my partners in crime, congratulations and may you enjoy each others company for a long time."

Torin passes his hand through the chair and blinks, "Aaah. Yes. Well hmm." He pauses and stops thinking brow furrowing, "Yes. Well I suppose that would make sense, but hrmm, that could explain the distortion physical, if we're out of phase light would be shift, as would sounds, and explain the strange physical actions. But why would it move us here, it should have formed keeping us in the science station?" He pauses and blinks, then at that a cough, "Ehmm...when'd a new craft arrive?" He asks curiously.

Foster's face shifts to one of perfect innocence. "I am *not* responsible for any dirty thoughts that you might be having, young lady." Amusing for him to say, considering she's years older than he is, eh?

Nilee nods his head slowly, "That must be it..." he shakes his head, "All it takes is two percent error." He grumbles something under his breath, "What new craft?" Galen asks curiously, tilting his head to look out the window. His eyes widen slightly at that, "That ship......" he trails off jaw opening for a moment, "That's it... I think that subspace interphase pocket somehow put us inside a layer of subspace... quite literally... this is... incredible." How he made that connection though, he doesn't explain.

Valentine smirks, shaking her head. "Me? I'm an innocent blushing virgin bride. Really." Alek gets a very pleased, warm smile, and she clinks glasses with Tak again.

Harris lifts his eyebrow, turning his gaze to Valentine. "Uh-huh. And I'm James T. Kirk."

Foster remarks, showing his intelligence for the first time, "No. Comment."

Takamura clinks his glass with Tara and takes a sip. Bowing his head to Harris, he says, "An honor to meet you, Captain Kirk."

Torin blinks several times, "I suppose. Does that mean there's a craft hiding in subspace off the station. Or that's just our offset from the regular phase." He hrmms, "I wonder...if we can modify sensors to notice us while we're in here. We might be able to solve our troubles with sensors. Though....did the pocket move us and then close...or is it still open and what happens when it closes?"

Krylow chucles a little and takes another drink from his glass, and then reaches to refill it.

Valentine gives Foster a wink as she sips, and opens her mouth... And giggles. "I was going to say that, Hiro."

Harris just shakes his head. "Caleb, I'm going to need more champagne," he grumbles playfully.

Takamura grins at Valentine with a nod. "Well, now that we are married, we must be thinking alike."

Foster wanders up in the direction of the bar, having figured that another bottle was going to be needed soon. There he waits while the server scrounges. Real alcohol champagne can be hard to get. The good stuff, non-replicated.

Nilee shakes his head slowly, thoughtfully stepping over to the viewport and watching the jet-black Akira hovering near the station. He frowns, and looks back to Torin finally, "I don't know, but we need to get back to the lab. I wish I knew how long we'd been out... hopefully it hasn't been long. Let's go." He motions towards the door, shooting a glance back through the viewport. He stops in front of the door when it doesn't open. "This could prove to make travel difficult, he places his hand on the manual activation panel.

Valentine ohs, "Well that would explain this strange, unfamiliar urge I'm getting," she nods, lips twitching as she tries to deadpan in tones of doom, "I have this incredible need to... /exercise/."

Krylow rolls his eyes and then grins to Tara. "I'll believe that when I see it," he says to her, dead serious sounding.

"Maybe she's been possessed by invisible space spores," Harris suggests as he eyes Valentine again.

Foster blinks, "Tarashi Valenmura? Exercising?" He pauses, then shakes his head, still safely near the bar. "Naaaaaaaaaah."

Torin nods quietly, "Alright the lab." He studies that and sighs, "Strange, maybe we can access something while we're here. I swear it looks like the Aegis, but why would it be entirely black if it's color shift wouldn't the gradient be less uniform?" He asks thoughtfully and follows he hrmms and offers, "Might." He tries stepping through the door then carefully.

Nilee raises a brow as his hand disappears into the wall, "Well isn't that intriguing." He quirks his lips and takes a step through the door, behind Torin. He doesn't respond to the question regarding the second Akira.

Torin heads out and into the Mall.

Torin has left.

Nilee heads out and into the Mall.

Nilee has left.

Torin moves out and hrmms, "Useful, I'm tempted to wonder why we don't pass through the floor. but....don't look a presented mammal in the nose, or something right?" He eyes the turbolift thoughtfully now. "Perhaps...we should wait for a turbolift...see anyone from science around, sir?"

Nilee glances over to Torin, "Ok, this is going to be tricky. We can't tell the turbolift where to go, we can't call it, and we can't use the panels. Which means we wait." He glances over at Torin, to respond to his question, "We're being held up by the artificial gravity actually. If it weren't for that we would fall right through."

. o O Shamash agitated and suprised at the behaviour of the computer, the otherwise trusted friend.

Torin hmms and nods, "Well...thank goodness for artificial gravity." He offers, "Would make it faster to drop down." He offers though furrowing his brow.

Nilee shoots a glance over his shoulder as he heads for the lift, dodging a few officers before someone walks right through him, he grimaces, "That's a little unsettling." He glances around as he arrives at the lift, "Now... we just need someone to go in there for us."

Torin hrmms and pauses, thoughtfully, "Mmm...what happens if you touch someone?" He offers eyes flickering around curiously and nods, "Well as soon as it opens we can go in and just wait. Someone will have to go there eventually right." He sighs, and hmms beginning to check his uniform seeing if his PADD or tricorder is on him.

Nilee has a few moments as he waits for someone to board the turbolift, that he can examine the tricorder he pulled out earlier and forgot about. "Not functional... I figured as much." He lifts his hand to his chest and taps his communicator, again, nothing. He sighs, "No technology for us, it would seem."

Torin nods and sighs, "Pity, if the Padd or tricorder, or communicator worked, if I could transmit I could probably affect the elevator." He says with disappointment furrowing his brow.

. o O Shamash feels partly intrigued at the sudden release of the data, partly a bit smug.

. o O Shamash thinks, "Somehow that strikes me as it might be the data i requested access to not long ago"

Nilee shakes his head slowly, "It's unlikely it would be able to interact with normal space, or normal reality." He shrugs, glancing around, "You'd think someone would have used this turbolift by now... the mall's usually pretty busy."

Torin frowns, "There has to be some form of interaction, we can still see photons, the audal range is distorted but we can still percieve it, the artificial gravity can affect us with some reasonable precision as well. There must be some way to affect fields on this end to transmit across to realspace. An amazing thing though, think how useful this would be for spying, or ship technology. We retain locomotive force IN subspace. The ramifications for stealth technology could be astounding. Perhaps not for large scale craft, but maybe with power output we might be able to generate one large enough for a workbee or small shuttle?" He says thoughtfully.

Nilee glances over as he sees someone approaching and steps back a few feet, giving them room to enter, he quickly motions for Torin to follow, "I'm sure there probably would be a way to transmit signals back and forth. I mean, communication based on subspace relays has been in use for years... those principles would enable us to transmit back to real space with a little tweaking, hopefully.

Torin nods quietly, "Indeed, and if we can open up a communication loop. We can probably access some of the systems well perhaps we can work that in later." He furrows his brows eyes flickering from side to side, "What can we do in the mean time, there must be some form of experiments we can do while in this phase for use later, observations and things?"

Nilee glances down at the tricorder in his hand, falling silent for a few moments, "There may be, but I'm trying to focus more on how we're going to communicate with Lieutenant Shamash in the lab when we get up there... assuming he's still there, and this experiment didn't affect the others..." He taps his lips with ins index finger, "We need to find a way to get power to one of the tricorders..."

Finally! A science officer steps on the turbolift!

Ah the things people do when they think they're alone. Ensign Glord, the junior Science lackey, sticks his pinky in his ear and digs around. He hums tunelessly.

Torin coughs a faint chuckle as he gets in hrmmhing, "Hmm..well we cannot, deal with that until we get there. Perhaps the anomaly, or the power core might bring a way to affect out of phase things." He offers thoughtfully, "The communications gear? It has to form subspace packets yes?"

Nilee nods his head slowly, "The computer core's on deck five as well... but let's get to the lab, maybe they're working on our problem up there already..."

Torin nods, "Hopefully." He furrows his brow, "I wonder how we're breathing." He says thoughtfully.

Nilee shrugs a little bit, waiting for the lift to arrive, "I'm not really sure, to tell you the truth... something we can figure out later though." The Trill watches Ensign Glord quietly, grimacing at the gesture a little bit.

The Tellarite Glord arrives at deck five, snorting a few times between refrains of his tuneless hum.
