Alethea has left.
Cristobal glances back at Idrani. He tilts his head, going over the station's CoC in his head before nodding and standing. He makes his way to the Operations console.
Cristobal stands and leaves Commander's.
. o O Cristobal thinks "Dang."
Cristobal sits down at Operations.
Idrani walks into Operations, looking polished and refreshed at this late hour. Maybe she doesn't sleep. She nods to Cristobal and Crayn, saying quietly to the latter, "Good evening, Lieutenant. I'm waiting for a data transmission from Sector Command. It was supposed to be here about an hour ago."
Crayn runs his fingers over the tactical console, checking out the various systems and reading the incoming reports.
No sooner does Cristobal arrive at the Ops console than does he notice a communication. "This must be it. Incoming transmission and..." He frowns for some reason, "No, it's something else. That's not coming from Dulcais. It's encrypted. Starfleet encryption code Beta." Cristobal now seems quite perplexed. "Beta? Some Ensign sending an encrypted distress signal?"
A petty officer steps in through the doors and sets about tapping things on the console beside the entrance.
Idrani cants her head to the side, expressionless. "Where is it coming from?"
. o O Crayn thinks "I have to keep working. I'm glad Ensign Smith switched with me. I need to work as many tactical shifts as possible. Tara's still out there somewhere."
Crayn looks up and pays attention...

Cristobal's brow furrows. He answers, "Lieutenant, there's no apparent source. The message doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere." He turns to the left half of his console, tapping away and saying, "I'm detecting traces of metreon radition in the area. I'm not sure if this is related to the communique."
Idrani listens, "Can you decrypt the communique? But run it through the security filters, first. I don't like messages without return addresses."
<CONTEST> Cristobal contests his Shipboard Systems (Communications) skill vs a difficulty of Moderate and Succeeds!
Cristobal nods and says, "No virii, or for that matter, anything else detected. The message is text-only." A pause, "It's from the Baer! Forwarding to your console immediately..."
Idrani moves back to the command chair, sits. She brings up the message.
Idrani sits down at Commander's.
WISH LIST
basic supplies, weapons, tools, medical supplies - lots of medical supplies, crate of stun grenades, Takamura's Type III-c with grenade launcher and Idisha blade, a couple of mounted phasers, Stewart's knife and TR-116 from his quarters on the Aegis and a sign language instruction book. Oh, and Hurley's supply of chocolate from her quarters - VERY IMPORTANT.
We're going to try to rescue a couple of this reality's resistance leaders from the clutches of an evil Churas-lead Alliance. Everyone's safe so far. Wish you were here.
Ensign Christine Hurley
Commanding Officer: Commander Michael Edwards
Alternating blue and yellow flashes of light emit from an open Jefferies tube, before a lithe Bajoran swings out and re-seals the hatch, her work complete.
Idrani's eyes scan the message. She reads it once silently, then again. Her features take on something of a weary condensation and she is quiet for a moment, considering the contents.
. o O Idrani thinks "A request for a small arsenal in order to wage some guerilla war on a government from an alternate reality. And we are requested to blithely supply this without thought to the many many laws this breaks. Well, who am I kidding? This is from Edwards. What should I expect?"
Idrani inhales slowly, then exhales. She rubs her temple in a fatigued fashion, then opens a channel to Captain Balin. After a few moments of conference, where she relays the situation, she receives a much more acceptible (and legal) alternative. Medical supplies only. Now the hard part, how to get said supplies to the location of Commander Edwards, et al.
An ensign in Engineering gold pops the cover off a bulkhead and begins to reprogram an isolinear array.
GAME: Idrani spends a courage point.

<CONTEST> Idrani (claiming advantage) contests her Physical Sciences (Physics) skill vs a difficulty of Impossible and Fails!
Idrani spends several long minutes at the Command console, after the medical supplies (and chocolate) are assembled. In the end, she isn't convinced that the attempt was successful, but at least it was an attempt. She mutters under her breath, "Mounted phasers indeed."
Alethea has arrived.
GAME: Alethea is joining this location.
