Havaris added on 52695.4: While Lt. Haven was visiting a prisoner,
the locks and force fields on the doors apparently engaged. Normally,
this can only be achieved by members of Security, chiefly myself and
Lt. Dakin. I was able to break through the interlocks, lower the
force-field, and disengage the locks, and was in the end, able to get
Lt. Haven out of there without a beam-out. However, as we are
currently holding a prisoner, and plan on holding more as a routine
aspect of our duties, I ask that Engineering send someone to Security
to run a full diagnostic on the door, who used it, how the field and
locks were engaged, and generally what caused the malfunction. This is
a priority matter.

Zian added on 52683.8: Last night a Trill woman by the name of
Elzba Varis, a Trill woman, came to the infirmary and volunteered to
lend a hand if we should need it, since the war is inexorably marching
ever closer, and even if the Federation emerges victorious from this
conflict, there will certainly still be more casualties before all is
said and done. I shall attach Dr. Varis' qualifications to this
report, for medical staff perusal.

Dakin added on 52702.6: The requisite security checks on Dr. Varis
have been undertaken and there is nothing to suggest she is a risk to

Stardate: 52702.6
Ghorev added on 52533.2: This stardate, an explosive device of some
kind placed within the catering carts disrupted the wedding reception
of LCDR Edwards and ENS Bela in the Neutral Zone. Moments before the
explosion, LCDR Edwards and myself both visual and auditory cues that
something was amiss with the catering table -- food seemed exposed to
radiation, and there was a long beeping noise underneath. He moved in
closer for a visual inspection while I pulled back in an attempt to
shield Bela and call Security. The explosive device detonated at that
time. Other than damage to the establishment, LCDR Edwards was the
only injured party, and is being treated in the infirmary at this
time.

Havaris added on 52689.7: I received a hail this evening from
Civilian Solok, a Ferengi Merchant on Mall Deck. He informed me a
terran male identified himself as a member of Security while off-duty
and asked after the acquisition of an item capable of reading and
storing transporter patterns. Although relieved of duty, I took the
hail and opened this report. It caused me no distress, and I was able
to take the hail and file this report from the comfort of my couch.
Tomorrow, when I return to partial duty, I will inspect the camera
logs on Deck 18 outside of the infirmary where the Civilian said the
conversation took place. I have already ruled out a member of my
staff, as I described each of my male terrans and the fellow he met
with didn't fit the bill at all. I promised the man a prompt response.

Sun Oct 13

Report Number: 156
Completed By: Balin
Opened By: Poole
Department: CMD
Stardate: 52702.6
Poole added on 52688.9: Because of Lt. Havaris' current condition,
and the fact that I don't know if he has submitted a report on the
events that transpired on our aquatic mission on Fimdari, I'm going to
add a brief summary of what happened prior to taking command of the
mission. On the mission were Lt. (jg) Havaris, commanding, myself as
advisor, Ensign Merus as science officer, Ensign Idisha as engineer,
Lieutenant (jg) Claness as ops officer and Gorgha as medical officer.
We arrived on Fimdari without too much fuss, beaming down into the
subartic region near the harbor where our on-loan submarine had been
placed. After a brief meeting with the mayor of the nearby village, we
boarded the vessel and proceeded to the last known coordinates of the
Bolian fisherman's boat. Unfortunately there was no sign of him,
though through the efforts of our science officer and medical officer
we discovered trace elements of what appeared to be Dominion origen.
We followed this trail, per Lt. Havaris' order, to the ocean bottom,
then into a trench. Eventually we reached a cavern entrance where we
could go no further and Lt. Havaris ordered a full stop, then left me
in command of the sub while he took Gorgha and Ensign Merus to
investigate the cavern. Unfortunately there was a major malfunction
with Havaris' suit once they were away from the submarine and only by
sheer luck did he manage to even survive... partially because he had
the presence of mind to launch himself back at the ship before he went
unconscious, mostly because of Dr. Gorgha's efforts at preventing
neurological damage. At this point I determined to carry on, intending
on going to investigate myself. However, Lt. (jg) Claness, forcing
himself in spite of a very obvious fear of water, volunteered and with
Merus' help they discovered a Dominion base as well as an attack
submarine. The base detected them and sent the submarine, and I
ordered Merus and Claness back to the ship. My intent was to launch
torpedoes and collapse the cavern, destroying the enemy submarine and
it's base simultaneously. I did so and the torpedoes had the desired
affect, though a bit larger than I initially expected. It started an
underwater avalanche of sorts, and only through the skill of Ensign
Idisha at the helm did we survive and make our way back to the
surface.

Opened By: Golden
Department: SEC
Stardate: 52702.8
Golden added on 52658.4: Lt Havaris and Lt Rivers have at different
occassions requested that I expand the training regimin I have been
using for Rapid Response operations to include supplemental training
for all personnel and security. This time it was an offical request so
I am laying out the training protocols that should be adapted to work
around the normal duty protocols. I must note that we are going to be
using up more than a fair share of the holosuite time so perhaps some
of this or all of this should happen in the holodecks of the Aegis if
available rather than the Mall.% Basic fitness training -- 30 minutes
of weight lifting alternating upper body and lower body daily. 30
minutes of aerobic excercise. A seperate 5 mile run either alone or
better still as a training unit. Basic skills training -- An hour of
scaling and rapelling practice three times a week. One 30 minute
zero-G/EVA suit exercise a week. 30 minutes of phaser range time a day
split between phaser II and phaser III-C. A variable terrain and
gravity obstacle course once a week, testing for speed and
improvement. Advanced Skills Training -- Review of the Ground Mission
Command operations manual on the principals of combat command. Review
of the role of Logistics in advance party deployment operations.
Review of the guidelines for establishing a beach head and transporter
control zone. Review of Strategies of Transporter Deployment in a
fluid tactical environment. Review of most current Cardassian and
Jem'Hedar orders of battle and strategic philosphies. Advanced
Exercise Training -- Field/ Open Field engagement strategy. Woodland
forest open engagement strategy. Field Defense of Point Scenario.
Woodland forest defense of point strategy. Establishing an Ambush
point and executing an Ambush. Breaking up an Ambush of your unit.
Small Unit Ambushes. Guerilla deploment Ambushes. Urban Training
Scenarios -- House to House movement theories. Grid control. Sewage
Systems hard point bypass. Using urban power grids to mask unit
movement. Defeating an Urban Ambush/Sniper point. Deploying an Urban
Ambush. Demolitions as Shield Grid bypass (like knocking down a
building to overload a defense shield or break up it continuity to
make an entrance vector). Open Field Urban engagements. Holding an
Urban Hard Point. Taking an Urban Hard Point. Planetary Shield
Dimpling and Bypasses.
I believe this is a sufficient amount of study materials and
training scenarios to start with. Taken in order this should allow our
officers to become familiar with leading and achieving ground
objective operations and familiarize our enlisted with such
operations. We should begin immediately, but any further questions may
be directed to myself, or Lt Dakin, Lt Havaris or Lt Rivers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dakin added on 52702.8: Excellent job in educating our officers,
Mr. Golden. As you've concluded this training regimen, I'm filing and
closing this report.

Opened By: Loerd
Department: ENG
Stardate: 52704.9
Loerd added on 52701.3: I was speaking with Lieutenant Nevaren
about the status of engineering equipment. As I was sitting in the
warp core a thought occurred to me. What would happen if several
people were in a store when the station came under attack and they
were trapped or any number of possible outcomes. What I would like to
suggest is have the engineering department 'cache' full engineering
kits in various locations. I would believe in every major gathering
location of the Mall would be a good starting point. Because if that
would also keep someone from having to retrieve a kit in an emergency
and could save valuable minutes.
Of course the next concern is security obviously we wouldn't want
just anyone having access to this equipment, so I felt if we replaced
the tools Lieutenant Nevaren has 'cached' away behind various panels
with full kits we could then establish security fields between the
kits and the panels so only authorized individuals would know where
these caches are and be able to lower the fields to get to the tools
in an emergency.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ghorev added on 52704.9: Between emergency beam-out transporters
and existing escape pods, we have much of emergency evacuation
procedures well-covered, Mister Loerd. If you wish in your spare time
to work up a more formal plan and design scheme, I would be happy to
review this again, however.

while LCDR Edwards was still asleep and off-duty and, as I am next in
the overall chain of Command branch, tendered his resignation from
Starfleet. I have his Combadge, and I have suspended his security
clearances on a temporary basis pending complete processing of his
resignation. Since his last communication with me involved the matter
of Dr. Clough's disappearance from the senior officer's roster of this
station, I fear that either he is violating standing orders regarding
the Doctor's detention, or is expressing his displeasure regarding the
matter in general. The former being as equally likely as the latter, I
recommend a brief Security check to ensure Mister Jackson is not
committing any acts of espionage by continuing to meddle in classified
matters. Once he is cleared of such suspicion, we can finalize his
discharge from Starfleet and arrange for the transition into civilian
life.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ghorev added on 52705: Mr. Jackson's resignation is accepted. There
are still charges pending against him, and these remain in force.
Since the acts in question were allegedly committed prior to the
acceptance of his resignation, and the charges made accordingly, he
will be tried for them under the Starfleet Code of Justice. Any
subsequent charges accumulated based on acts alleged after this
stardate will be tried as a civilian matter.

arrest the night before. In the course of making her inquiry she
intimated that Aian had attemped to coerce her into an illicit scheme
to use the Dream Factory as a dispensary for illegal alchohol sales.
Her sworn statement on this matter is included below.
Ms. Aian contacted me one evening about selling alcohol out of the
Dream Factor. When she asked me about this she seemed to indicate that
if I reported it there would be some sort of retaliations. But based
on my races ability I got the distinct impression that someone was
forcing her to do this. In fact she seemed to have more fear for
herself than any malice towards me or the dream factory. She seemed to
be thinking a lot about being beat at the hands of some man. If I had
to take a guess I'd assume he still had some hold over her. I stalled
her by telling her I'd have to run it by Isole. When I went to see
Isole she was already setting up the Dream Factory to sell alcohol so
I assumed that Aian had already spoken to Isole. So I never brought it
up to anyone else.
I turn this matter over to General Security division.

Ketricel White plant east of our LZ. The ORF failed to meet their
rendez-vous, and were later discovered dead a few kilometers to the

plant where entry was gained via a waste tube. We proceeded to the
Control Room in the hopes that we could overtake factory functions and
prevent the Ketricel White from leaving the Factory. We succeeded in
our task, though we were pinned down by superior numbers in the doing
of it, and denied vital power and control functions by forces still
active at the Power Station. Pinned down and viewing the situation as
nearly hopeless, we called for orbital support. A volley from orbit
dropped the power plant and the shields. Supplemental forces arrived
to relieve us. We prevented all Ketricel White from leaving the
factory, not a drop was evacuated. Aside from the damage to the power

Completed By: Balin

Department: OPS
Stardate: 52710.1
Claness added on 52698.1: This report is being filed via S-419
Operations as an addition to the official report(s) by Lt. Havaris
and/or Lt. Poole by Chakev Claness, ADF Mission Ops. Please see the
official report(s) for mission details.
Regarding the failure of the EVA suit worn by Lt. Havaris, an
examination from the suit datafeed to Mission Ops showed no failure in
the equipment or the procedure in which Ensign Merus assisted Lt.
Havaris into the EVA. All diagnostics were green before, during and
after the suit was donned. There is no indication that Ensign Merus
errored or that his procedure was flawed. As this equipment does not
get used on a regular basis, my reccomendation would be for a visual
diagnostic check of all underwater EVA gear aboard S-419 and the
vessels assigned to same.
It should be noted that the consoles aboard the Federation
submarine were configured to mimic in both feel and function the
consoles found aboard a Starfleet runabout. This functionalty was
useful, although it appeared to make the piloting of the vessel less
precise. I reccomend that any further use of this type of submarine by
Starfleet personell should have a helm comfiguration similar to that
of a Starfleet shuttlecraft. A flight stick could prove useful in
combat operations.
I would like to single out Lt. Poole for an excellent job during
the mission. After Lt Havaris was incapacitated, Lt Poole took command
and was willing to exit the submarine in order to personally lead the
deep-water investigation. I feel that she was open and sympathetic to
the cultural issues that Andorians have in regards to deep water and
was willing to take such a dangerous undertaking upon herself. But, as
a good command officer, she also entertained suggestions from Ensign
Idisha and myself regarding the succesful completion of the mission.
After it was decided that I should exit the vehicle, Lt. Poole once
again showed an openess and understanding of an alien culture by
repeating her willingness to put herself in harms way by leading the
away mission personally. Lt. Poole showed a level of leadership,
cultural openess and mission awareness that is a testament to her
uniform. Please share my high regards with whom you see fit.

USS Thomas Paine, my bridge crew consisting of Ensign Va'tol,
Lieutenant J.G. Ghent Savloo, Lieutenant J.G. Tyrmond Tibbs, Ensign
Varanya Ashilav and Ensign Hiroshi Takamura. We departed the station
and rendevouzed in the Occa System with the Allied attack fleet,
joining the tactical attack wing under the command of Lieutenant
Commander Alice Martin of the USS Accountability. As per our orders,
we engaged a Dominion battleship. Despite the loss of two of our five
wingmates, we managed to destroy the Dominion vessel, sustaining
minimal damage. Commander Martin relayed new orders to us, indicating
that, along with the USS Inverness, we should interdict Dominion
fighters that were harrassing our troop transports. While
intercepting, three Siinogan vessels moved to stop us. We managed to
destroy the lead vessel while the Inverness took out the other two,
sustaining further damage in the process. Immediately after, three
Dominion fighters on course for the transport fleet came upon us. We
disabled their lead vessel in the first volley, while another of the
fighters cut through our starboard shields. Undaunted, we locked on
and destroyed the second fighter. Yet the third fighter was joined by
a fourth, and together both destroyed the Inverness. While taking fire
from the two fighters, the USS Little Big Horn, despite heavy damage
sustained earlier in the conflict, came to our aid and destroyed one
of the Dominion ships. Unable to eliminate the remainer fighter in
time, it decided to try and shoot past us, heading for the troop
convoy. We gave chase and were able to destroy it, but the resulting
debris from the explosion destroyed two of the four transports. Our
new orders were to escort the remaining transports to the orbit of
Occa Prime, which we carried out. While waiting there, the Little Big

their crew to safety, we were unable to obtain a transporter lock and
could not render assistance in time.

Report Number: 187
Completed By: Balin
Opened By: Poole
Department: CMD
Stardate: 52710.1
Poole added on 52706: We arrived on Occa in Grix's, all according
to our briefing. We made contact with Grix, who shared his information
with us and opened up the sewer tunnel that we took to our target. We
arrived at the exit point in the tunnel, only to come up against a
military grade motion sensor system. Lt. Ghorev spotted it, and Ensign
Vota and Lt. (jg) Foster volunteered to crawl through the slime to get
good phaser shots at the sensors. They did so successfully and we
moved onward. Once above ground we quickly located the security
control room, which was necessary to have control of to complete the
mission. It allowed us to cut off any reinforcements to the Energy
Park itself. Taking the tower itself, however, was a challenge. They
were ready for us, and it took the entire team working together to
incapacitate the four occan, two jem'hadar and single cardassian
inside. It was a brutal fight and many of our team were wounded,
including myself. Once we did have control, I contacted Lt. commander
Edwards and requested a beaming further into the complex... to reduce
the number of the enemy we'd have to face in direct combat. I left
Vota and Foster in charge of the security control room and beamed into
the reactor complex with Lt. Ghorev, Ensign Medes, and Lieutenant
Laco. Four Jem'Hadar were there to meet us and there was a firefight
during which Medes, Laco and I were all hit with polaron weapon
blasts. One of the Jem'Hadar made a break for the control console for
the reactor, no doubt to sabotage it, but Ghorev cut him off and kept
him busy whilst the rest of the team cut down the Jem'Hadar. Before I,
unfortunately, lost consciousness from the a polaron blast, Medes and
I both tried to convince the Occan technicians in the area to assist
us. I have been told that they did, in the end. However, I have been
told that the team completed the mission and lowered the power grid
and thusly the planetary shields, allowing the assault to continue.

Stardate: 52710.1
Dakin added on 52705.3: In command of an away team consisting of
Lt. P'Trell, Ensigns Idisha and Davis, and CPOs Rancion and Duvane,
our beamdown to the Occan warehouse drop-point went off without a
hitch. After meeting with our assigned contacts, two rogue members of
the New Florida police, we boarded a ground transport vehicle and made
our way to the cloning facility. Unfortunately, the operation
encountered its first major setback when the truck braked to a hard
stop, injuring Ensign Idisha. Our two police contacts were escorted
away by their fellows for violating their patrol area, after which we
were discovered by a contingent of loyalist police officers and
Cardassian soldiers. A brief battle ensued that left all but one Occan
policeman standing on the adversarial side and sadly, in the course of
saving my life, costs us Chief Duvane. We then forced the remaining
policeman to drive us to the facility and proceeded to infiltrate the
facility. I sent Rancion and P'Trell to secure the administrative
office, which they accomplished with the regretful cost of Chief
Rancion's leg. The remainder of us took out the Jem'hadar guards
posted outside the cloning lab, but not before the enemy troops were
able to kill Nurse Davis. I and Idisha, who I have to commend for his
stick-to-it-iveness despite a massive amount of pain due to his
separated shoulder, managed to set all our charges, draw out the rest
of our team, and fight our way free before the resulting blast
decimated the facility and all Jem'hadar inside and in the immediate
area, in vitro and otherwise. We were then met with friendly ground
forces from Starfleet who aided us in taking care of our wounded until
beaming back to the U.S.S. Aegis.
Final after-action analysis: Primary objective, destruction of the
Jem'Hadar cloning facility outside New Florida, Occa, attained.
Friendly casualties: Lt. Prythra P'Trell (knife laceration along
chest, superficial), Ensign Thaal'vor Idisha (dislocated shoulder
further detailed in Rep. 181), Chief Petty Officer Josh Rancion
(severing of one leg from polaron beam fire). Friendly fatalities:
Ensign Catherine Davis (multiple volleys of polaron beam fire), Chief
Petty Officer Devyn Duvane (dematerialization from Cardassian

In fact he has managed to serve in Starfleet for quite some time with
it. However he does seem to lack in self-esteem somewhat, probably due

Unforunately, he was already in the advanced stages when he was

who have recieved the innoculation and none are due to begin a Ponn

Tyler added on 52721.4: On Stardate 52719.5, under command of Lt.
JG Sulkat on the USS Thomas Paine, we encountered a silicon-based life
form stuck in the Thomas Paine's computer. At first it exhibited
itself as a large game of tic-tac-toe, before it proclaimed it was
bored and shut the bridge terminals down, and evacuated life support
from deck 1. We traveled to Deck Four, where we tried to gain access
to the core. It turns out that the sentient, known as Madalena, was
the child of Dr. Fielding, a civilian scientist from New Gaul who was
helping with the Paine's EMH emitters. The child had died several
years before, and Dr. Fielding's wife had, at some time in the past,
somehow created a 'test program' that was actually the child. Once the
test program was released into the Paine's core, it was able to grow
and learn, and developed sentience.

Report Number: 218
Completed By: Balin
Opened By: Zian
Department: CMD
Stardate: 52724.2
Zian added on 52722.5: While enroute to return Dr. Samuel Fielding
to his home system of Amaria after he completed installation of
holoemitters on several key decks of S419 and the Paine to allow
mobility for the EMH in case of emergency, the Paine was diverted from
its course to a heading that took the ship on a direct course to the
colony world of New Gaul. The course change was ultimately traced to a
test program that Dr. Fielding had installed to test the new
holoemitters. The program had been written by Dr. Fielding's wife, and
was a holographic representation of the Fieldings' dead daughter,
Madalena. It seems that the AI that Dr. Fielding's wife designed was a
bit too sophisticated for its own good, as it grew bored with the
limits of its test routines and decided to amuse itself by taking over
the ship, playing games with the crew, and trying to return 'home' to
New Gaul, where the family had lived when Madalena was still alive.
Ensign Blair was wounded during the mission, when Madalena used the
holoemitters in the Deck 3 corridor to create a holographic simulation
of Earth's Ancient American West, populated by a gun-slinging Andorian
in a cowboy hat. Ultimately it was the teamwork of Lieutenant Tyler,
working with her tricorder to disrupt the holoemitters, and Ensign
Blair, working to overload the projector via an access panel he got
knocked into after he'd been hit by a wild shot from the holographic
Andorian, that disrupted Madalena's little game and prevented anyone
else from being shot. After that, Ensign Turtledove distracted her
attention while I worked with the EMH to stabilize Blair's wound, and
Tyler, Morrison, and Fielding went to the computer core to deal with
the problem at it's source. In the end, they successfully lured the
AI's 'consciousness' to a section of memory where it could be blocked
off from accessing the rest of the computer's systems, effectively
sending the child to her room. I would like to recommend a
commendation for Ensign Blair, for his bravery and his committment to
duty, even after being wounded, and I would further like to recommend
a reprimand for Lt. Morrison. If Morrison had worked /with/ the rest
of us, as a team, rather than blatantly dismissing other ideas and
disregarding orders in favor of acting upon his own ideas, the
situation might have been resolved much more quickly, and without any
injuries. In my opinion, Morrison lacks discipline, and requires a
lesson in how to be an effective member of a team.

Balin added on 52724.2: Thank you, Lt. Zian. Report filed.
A commendation has been issued into Lt. Blair's record.

debris from the Occa battle from a trader on the station, Solok. By
Solok's own verbal confirmation, in between his caperinjg and quoting

Completed Report #222 (Nilee)
|
Tue Oct 22
|
Report Number: 222
Completed By: Balin
Opened By: Loerd
Department: CMD
Stardate: 52724.2
Loerd added on 52723.2: I knew I recoginzed the name Nilee but I
couldn't place it. So I called my brother, he's gathering all the
records and sending them to me. But basically the Nilee symbiont was
kicked out of the program about 10 years ago. for re-association. I
don't think the committee is going to be happy hearing it has been
re-joined. When I get the information from my brother I will forward
it on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Balin added on 52724.2: Thank you, Mr. Loerd. This is outside of
Federation law and concerns Trill law. I look forward, however, to any
further updates you may have regarding the situation.

Report Number: 226
Completed By: Dakin
Opened By: Dakin
Department: GEN
Stardate: 52724.5
Dakin added on 52724.5: Upon receiving word from my people that a
phaser was found lying on the deck just recently, I feel it necessary
to point out that not only are station sidearms to be handled with
care but also in accordance with the weapons regulations set forth by
station command. If you encounter a stray phaser or any other weapon,
contact Security immediately. According to station C-o-C, armory
officer Lt. Sulkat should be the primary contact person in these
matters, but any security officer will be available to take charge of
any found weapons should the lieutenant be unavailable. Any person
caught mishandling weapons on-station will be subject to Starfleet
sanction.

Dakin added on 52724.5: Report filed.

Completed Report #223
(Harassment
|
Tue Oct 22
|
Report Number: 223
Completed By: Dakin
Opened By: Havaris
Department: SEC
Stardate: 52724.6
Havaris added on 52723.3: Ensign Medes filed a complaint with me
regarding Ensign Loerd. The attention being paid to Ensign Medes by
Ensign Loerd has grown unwanted and has been entirely unasked for. I
took a recorded statement from Ensign Medes which I will make
available to interested parties. Ensign Medes has made it clear to
Ensign Loerd that she no longer wishes to have dealings with her
outside of Duty matters, and that her continued interest in Ensign
Medes is making Ensign Medes uncomfortable to the point of considering
Ensign Loerd a 'stalker'. Obviously, given the nature of this report,
Ensign Medes herself considers this a case of personal harassment.
This report serves only to document the complaint and provide a
testimony and history should Ensign Loerd not mediate her conduct
according to Ensign Medes' wishes with respect to her own dealings
whith fellow Officers while off-duty.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dakin added on 52724.6: I've spoken with both Medes and Loerd and
have instructed them each not to associate with one another outside of
work-related endeavors. Both officers have given their agreement to
this arrangement. I'm closing this report and this matter, to be
reponded only if further developments arise.

Report Number: 205
Completed By: Edwards
Opened By: Turtledove
Department: CMD
Stardate: 52726.8
Turtledove added on 52717: I was recently approached by Ambassador
Zuh'raah'do with a question regarding procedures for handling the
remains of Starfleet officers recovered by Nausicaan salvage crews.
Since the Nausicaan people believe their dead to be nothing more than
empty husks, the salvage crews were initially setting the men adrift
as they were removed from the wreckage. Showing remarkable insight and
consideration, Ambassador Z | |
