  XP is earned on a pay-for-play basis. That is, the more you play, the more XP
  you will accumulate. It is up to the other people that you roleplay with to
  give you a vote for XP. Since people are voting for you, it is important to
  remember to vote for them in return.
 
  You are obligated to vote for people who have performed well in their actions
  and character. While staff has no way of tracking who performed well, they do
  monitor for 'tally disparities'. If you are earning a lot of XP this week,
  and have voted for nobody, then something is wrong.
    
  At the end of the week, votes are tallied and XP distributed.
   
  The details of the system, and the formulas used are not available to
  players. Suffice to say, the more you play, the more XP you will generate for
  yourself.
