Anomaly TrekMUX has been painstakingly created for you, the player, with the
express intention of providing an enjoyable role playing environment for
everyone. As with everything, there are some rules and guidelines that must
be observed and followed to ensure that your roleplay is smooth, fun, and has
  minimum complications.

Note that these rules are not all inclusive. You can still violate the spirit
of the rules. Just because you can find a loophole doesn't mean you're
allowed to do it. If there is any doubt whether or not your action is going
to be perceived as in violation, you should contact staff immediately and
  ask.

Age: By agreeing to play here, you are agreeing that you are at least 18
years-old. Minors are not allowed on Anomaly TrekMUX because of the dark
nature of the theme. If you are found to be under aged, you will be asked to
  leave.

Courtesy: As you enter the IC world, please remember that behind every
character is a human being with thoughts and feelings of their own. It is
therefore extremely important that you are courteous to both staff and
  players at all times.

Relax: Not everything is going to go your way. Miscommunications happen.
Errors happen. Mistakes happen. But there is no reason to blow an OOC issue
out of proportion. Try to overlook the minor annoyances. Remember, we
are here to have fun, so put your feet up and chill out.

rules3 03Feb17

Privacy: Please respect the privacy of others. Do not enter private rooms
without the prior permission from the owner. OOC spying devices that are set
DARK are also prohibited. Spying OOC is considered a form of harassment.
  Abusing code is considered spying.

Spamming: Please do not spam people, whether it is through channels, @mail,
or pages. It is extremely annoying, and it can waste valuable machine space
on the host. Excessive use of the OOC communication in an IC area can be
considered spamming - please be courteous when in public RP situations.

Spoofing: Spoofing other players is strictly forbidden, unless written
approval is given to the RP Wizards by the spoofed player prior to the
spoofing event. Anything else that can be considered spoofing (even if it
is silly in nature and not meant seriously) is forbidden. Don't do it.

@walls: Sending fake @walls by any means is not permitted under any
  circumstance.

rules4 03Feb17

Approval: Characters that are set UNINSPECTED are not ready for roleplay and
should not participate in any roleplay at all. Until those characters have
been inspected by an appropriate wizard, they are considered OOC. Players
who are UNINSPECTED and are caught roleplaying (or roleplaying unapproved
stats) will face a retcon of that roleplay scene and may be ejected from the
  game.

Arguing: Do not argue with staff. If you disagree with something that
someone on staff has done, there is a procedure to follow. See 'news
  complaints'.

Infighting: Do not argue or fight OOC with other players. You are expected
to work out equitable solutions on your own without staff intervention. We
are not here to baby sit. Staff will not care who is right and who is wrong,
as all fighting parties will be ejected from the game permananetly. This also
covers being OOCly insultory. Behave maturely.

The producer's word: Anomaly TrekMUX is a game designed for you, the player,
and run by the Producer. As such, you are expected to behave as though you
are in the producer's own home. The producer has the right to refuse anyone
to play here, and holds the right to forcibly eject someone for any reason.

The producer tries to be just and fair, and rarely makes arbitrary decisions
without discussion among other staff and players. Just as in the producer's
house, the producer has the final word in all matters. If you as a player
have a problem with this policy, we suggest you find somewhere else to play.

This is not to say that you do not have a voice, you do. Let staff know what
you would like to see, and every effort will be made to accommodate you. But
ultimately, the final word rests on the producer.

                                                                    Top: policy
