  IC Pregnancy on this game is completely voluntary, but once entered into,
  because of the demands it makes on other players, it becomes part of the
  game-plot, to be administered by game-staff, like any other. If you wish your
  PC to become pregnant, you and (in most species or inter-species
  relationships) the player whose PC contributes the other half of the DNA must
  both +Request to staff. Once both +requests are begun, the pregnancy is
  considered 'begun'. A writer will be assigned to decide (for non-humans) on a
  gestation period, @mail you with pregnancy details at appropriate times, and
  decide on whether there are any medical or plot complications. By putting in
  your +request to become pregnant, you agree to all of this, and also agree to
  put up with any IC activities restrictions assigned by the station's medical
  PCs and NPCs in your case.
  
  That said, a pregnancy is *NOT* guaranteed. Staff may, for one reason or
  another, rule that the pregnancy ends. This could be due to genetic
  incompatibilities, player maturity, etc.
