dramatics 02Nov15
Dramatic Success: An overwhelming success - a lucky break. Roleplay it!
Example: Lt. Joss attempts to repair the warp drive of a runabout which was
damaged in a skirmish with the Romulans. Using the contest system,
he achieves a Dramatic Success. He not only fixes the warp drive,
but increases its efficiency by 10 percent!
Dramatic Failure: An overwhelming failure - a tough break. Roleplay it!
Example: Lt. Joss is facing off against an angry Naussican. He tries to take
a swing at the Naussican, but achieves a Dramatic Failure. He not
only misses, but stumbles and drops in front of the Naussican,
providing his opponent with a free hit or two.
The Dramatics must be roleplayed. If an acceptable dramatic cannot be agreed
to between players, ask a neutral party what the results should be. See
'news consensus'.
