Welcome to Anomaly TrekMUX

Anomaly TrekMUX is a text-based role-playing environment set in the
Star Trek universe. It uses the Star Trek: The Next Generation Core Game Book and the Deep Space Nine Core Game Book, published by the now-defunct Last Unicorn Games. While these books are out of print, they can still be found at places like eBay. Ownership of the books is not required to play, as Anomaly TrekMUX is similar to a 'virtual coffee table'. However, the books are highly recommended (and in some cases, required for certain character concepts).

As of April 17, 13:00 EST, Anomaly will close its doors for good. Thanks for all the good times, folks. It's been a lot of fun.

Anomaly Jobs 5.0 has been released. The code includes many new features and changes. Visit our transfer page for more details and to download either the patch or full install.

Large sections of the website have been updated, including over one hundred episode logs for Season 5 and Season 6, a search engine, a webpage detailing the Qualificaton and Certification pages, a Civilian PC example and more.

Thanks to Grey, we now have some excellent documents on standard issue Starfleet equipment, with write-ups and pictures.

Anomaly is now open to the public once more, exactly as it should be. During the past several months, we have been reorganizing, doing some recoding, and generally preparing for the end of Anomaly's first meta-arc. Thanks to Grey, we have a great update to the cast and crew pages.

To celebrate the re-opening, we have several major episodes happening from the 15th to the 22nd, so there are lots of plots to join in on, and lots of RP to be had.

The USS Thomas Paine map has been released! This is a detailed map of all four of her decks using Cosmographer. Also, we now know that Cosmographer comes with the Station 419 maps in its example pack. Say it with me: Woot.

With the pre-release of Cosmographer, Pro Fantasy's science-fiction mapping program, I am finally able to distribute the Station 419 map. There were talks about the S419 map being distributed via Cosmographer, but I'm unsure if it made the final release. As of the last Beta, it was in the Examples folder, so there's hope that it is there. I won't know until I get my developer's copy (or someone informs me if it made it or not).

Note that if you have downloaded the map previously, this map is actually different. During the interim while the file was offline, I greatly improved on a lot of the symbols that are there. The layout is still the same, but the attractiveness factor is greater.

Anomaly has hopped from one box to another on the mushpark server. If you use the IP to connect to Anomaly, please update your connection info to reflect the new IP: 67.130.96.226 port 2120

What makes Anomaly TrekMUX unique?

There are a lot of other Trek games out there on the Internet. Perhaps you've been to some of them. If you have, the first thing that you will notice is that Anomaly is unlike any other Trek game out there. Some of our players have likened it to 'being on one of the shows'. But what separates Anomaly from the pack, and makes it unique and anomalous in regards to other Trek games?

How do I play?

You must log into the server (telnet to anomaly.mushpark.com 2120, or click the 'CONNECT' button above), and create a character, then step into character generation and away you go! We recommend that you connect using a client, though. The best client we've found is SimpleMU.
