Tricorder

Tricorders are small and powerful devices with electromagnetic, magnetic, audio, chemical and subspace sensors. They are further equipped with databanks of scientific and historical information. They also have subspace communicators simlar to those in PADDs and combadges.

• Engineering Tricorder
  

  These tricorders contain a special engineering peripheral (EP) that contains specialized sensors for detecting energy fluctuations and energy particles and strange power signatures.

• Medical Tricorder    
  

  These tricorders have a medical peripheral (MP) attached to the end with specialized bio-sensors. The database contains medical information on over 200 species. The sensors read vital signs at 25 meters and internal structure at 5 meters. The MP also has a detachable high-resolution probe that works within 1 meter to provide a detailed image.
