TransportersTransporters are the main method to move people to and from ships and stations. The transporters can beam people and equipment up to 40,000 kilometers. The typical transporter can handle six people plus their personal equipment. The transporter will dematerialize the subject into energy, broadcast the energized matter stream on a narrow-focus subspace carrier wave, and then rematerialize. Each transport is tagged with an unqiue ID and computer logs of the whole process are kept. |
