Sensors

Sensors provide valuable medical, engineering, scientific and defensive information to ships and stations. Specialized sensors are grouped together into arrays.

  • Long Range Sensors
These sensors scan long distances, reaching up to 17 light years from the array and scan out in a 45 degree arc. High resolution scans can be performed up to 5 light years away. They scan for EM emissions, graviton particles, neutrino tracks and thermal images.

  • Lateral or Short Range Sensors
These provide more detailed information about objects and nearby phenomena. They can scan items and areas up to 1 light year away.

  • Navigational Sensors
These sensors are linked directly to the Conn station of the starship and monitor position and velocity.
