The Dominion War has ended, and the dust and ash is finally
beginning to settle. The Founders and the Dominion have been sent back to the
Gamma Quadrant, and the Federation President has ratified the Treaty of Bajor,
ushering in a new era of peace.
All three allied superpowers - Federation, Romulans and Klingons - took severe
losses of personnel and resources during the war. The future is uncertain in
this climate of change. Will the Romulans retreat back to their space and take a
new stance of isolationism? Will the Klingons take the opportunity to strike at
their old enemies first? Will the Federation be stuck in the middle, or will it
take a stance if fighting between the two powers erupts?
Perched in the silent void of the Dulcais Sector, in a strategic position to
protect a temporal anomaly, is Station 419 Upsilon, a small strategic outpost on
the edge of Federation Space. Nestled up against the Klingon and Romulan border,
the station is delicately situated to help usher in the new era of peace or
assist in destroying the notion once and for all.
The future of diplomacy is not the only thing that hangs in the balance. The
future of all life in the galaxy is threatened by a hostile species known as the
Lithians. In two years time, the Lithians are predicted to invade the Federation
and spread like a plague across the galaxy, bringing the races to extinction.
And what is the Department of Temporal Investigations doing on board the
station?
There is something sinister lurking in the dark corners of this sector, to be
sure.
