I blame Fleety. For everything.
Okay, I can't blame him for everything. That's only because I haven't known him long enough to do so. I didn't really get into RPGs until high school. I knew about them and even owned way too many AD&D books. There was simply no one around to RPG with, one of the drawbacks of a small, peaceful town. In high school I found the very young and new internet. This was before my ISP even offered graphical browsing. Low and behold I searched for an author I was reading at time (Robert Jordan, please forgive me) and stumbled across my first MUSH.
The rest, as they say, is history. I never actually staffed there though I had the interest. Soon enough I found myself playing and staffing on a new World of Darkness game, and branching out into other themes like D&D, Shadowrun and even a very brief Amber stint. I've played, staffed and run several places when I wasn't taking a year off here or there.
Then (and this is the part we all should blame Fleety for) I ended up at Anomaly
TrekMUX. I'd known about it, and known Fleety, for a few years. Now I'm here and you're all stuck with me.
