Artemisia

Position: Writer-in-Training

Artemisia first stumbled on RPGs at the ripe old age of ten, when D&D was still D&D rather than AD&D. Not that she and her friends really understood the system at all, but it was fun! She kept her branchings out in the game world limited mostly to WOD, until she finally got around to getting the Internet in '97. Even then, online RPGs were a surprise- a general search for 'Pern' came back with these weird things called MUSHs. "Wait. You can /be a character on Pern/?!?" It was love at first sight. At one time, she had eight active chars on various Pern games, as well as Crystal Singer-based games, HellMUSH, and a smattering of others, as well as serving as an imm on a (don't shudder) MUD. Arty did look around for a good Star Trek game, but all she could find were low-RP console-heavy things, which made her very sad. It was on a Crystal game that she met the Tempter. She calls him this because he is very, very skilled at tempting her to try out this game or that one. One night he mentioned casually, "You like Star Trek, don't you?". Within a week, Arty had come out of an RP slump into excitement over this Anomaly thing. It was a fast spiraling- after Arty created her third active Anomaly char in as many months, Fleety's claiming of her soul was generally acknowledged. Eventually, of course, insanity took over completely, which explains her volunteering for a staff position. She still says her cat made her do it though- he gets a /lot/ more attention if he steps on her keyboard when she's in the middle of running an episode.
