Summary:
2352: His father accepts a teaching position at Starfleet Academy and moves his family to Vancouver, British Columbia.
2355: He begins to play the locally favorite sport of ice hockey.
2362: Hiroshi helps lead his team to the regional finals. They didn't win the series, but Takamura practices diligently to make himself the best goaltender he could be.
2365: Graduates from High School as an average student. He begins playing semi-professional hockey for the Vancouver Grizzlies as a goalie in the regional league.
2368: Takamura is named to the league's All Star team as the starting goalie. That season he breaks the single season record for shutout games, leading the Grizzlies to the league championship.
2368: Enlists into Starfleet as a Security Crewman, in response to the liberation of Bajor from the Cardassians.
2369: Takamura graduates from basic training and is assigned to the Akira Class USS Saratoga (NCC 31911-A) for security details and away missions. While serving with the mostly Andorian crew, Crewman Takamura learns the sport of Kochek and becomes captain of the non-Andorian team.
2370: Participates in an away mission to answer a distress call aboard a damaged vessel. The Breen ambush the away team as they search for survivors. The Chief Medical Officer is wounded, but Takamura pulls him to safety and then neutralizes the threat. Because of his actions, he is promoted to Petty Officer Third Class. Shortly thereafter, Lt. Thornton, the Saratoga's Security Chief recommends the young enlisted man for entrance into Starfleet Academy to be commissioned.
2371: Enters Starfleet Academy. Because of his prior enlisted experience, he is assigned as a Cadet Squadron Leader. He also returns to his love of hockey founding the Academy's Club Team.
2374: During his cadet cruise, Takamura was sent to the Dominion front. Starfleet ordered his unit to occupy a Dominion communications array on the planet AR-558. His unit took a great number of casualties, including Takamura himself being wounded by a mine. Eventually, after being besieged, rescue forces arrived to evacuate the wounded.
2375: Adm. Ross awards Cadet Takamura the Starfleet Combat Medal for injuries sustained on AR-558.
2375: Graduates from Starfleet Academy. Ensign Takamura assigned to Station 419 Upsilon, Dulcais Sector to serve on the Rapid Response Team as a Heavy Weapons Specialist.
2375: Participates in Phaser Qualifications administered by Lt. (jg) Poole. Ensign Takamura qualifies as an expert with both the Type II and Type III Phasers.
2375: Serves temporary duty as the Tactical Officer aboard the USS Thomas Paine during the Battle of Occa. For his actions during the battle, Cmdr. Balin gives him a commendation.
