Summary:

2352: He is born to Galo and Ona Merus, the former a successful physician, the latter a member of the Trill Symbiosis Commission

2368: Admitted into the Trill Symbiosis Commission initiate program and begins training for possible future joining.

2370: Admitted into Starfleet Academy, does the majority of his training in Astrophyics on Earth, partially in the northern regions of North America.

2373: Serves the one year length of his cadet cruise aboard a scientific survey vessel.

2374: Graduates from Starfleet Academy, in the Sciences departement, specializing in astrophysics.

2374: Assigned to the USS Cochrane, Oberth-class, formerly a scientific survey ship, now a reconnaisance scout in the Dominion War.

2375: Reassigned to Station 419-Upsilon. Placed in the Astrometrics Departement.

2375: Shortly after coming into contact with Janzon Nilee, due to the murder of said individual, is joined with the Nilee symbiont, a known criminal, and exiled from Trill. Becoming Galen Nilee. 

2375: Because of his violation of Trill law, the Symbiosis Commission expells and exiles Galen Nilee from the Trill homeworld and passes a ruling stating that the Nilee Symbiont shall not be rejoined again.

Proficiencies: Very high aptitude for all sciences, with a specialization in Space Sciences; Shipboard Systems (Sensors) (Holographics); Personal Equipment (Tricorder); Athletics (Sailing) (Running).

Deficiencies: Openly, Galen is a pacifist. He refuses to use physical violence up until it becomes the final possible resort. He prefers to use his mind to find alternate paths to take, and as such, rarely trains his combat abilities beyond the minimum expectation for a Starfleet officer, except in self-defense practices.
