Summary:

2348: Niel's Birth.

2366: Brother's wife dies during childbirth procedure. Niel isolates himself for a while.

2369: Niel leaves his home and family for the great unknown.

2372: Ship Niel is on is attacked by Klingon forces during the invasion of the Cardassian Empire.

2373: Niel travels as a salesman in charge of his own ship now.

2374: Stays on Bajor while Dominion war in full force.

2375: Niel arrives on Station 419 to open his own shop. Runs into his sister who is a combat medic aboard the station. Dates Wendy Tyler. Dates Rebecca Bailey.

2376: Niel proposes to DTI Agent Rebecca Bailey. Rebecca Bailey dies on classified mission. Niel given legal guardianship of Nelle Bailey, renamed Nelle Haven at the request of Rebecca Bailey. With help of Wendy Tyler, Niel is given full legal custody of Nelle (Bailey) Haven.

Anyone who knows Niel knows that he is still desperately in love with Rebecca Bailey. Niel is Nelle's legal father, but not her paternal father. Niel is half-bajoran, and ironically, so is Nelle.
