Summary:

2352: Ana is born to parents Carmen Caminante López and Juan López Escobar, the youngest of three children. The family resides in an old predominantly hispanic neighborhood of Miami, known as Pequeña Havana. Ana, a handful as a child comes to be called "Dema" by her family, a diminuitive for Demasiada, or "too much."

2359: At the age of seven, Ana begins disciplined gymnastic training which occupies much of her free time outside schooling and gives her natural competitiveness an outlet. Her circle of friends is small, but her relationship with her father is close, which is a trend that will prevail well into her adult life. Her sun rises and sets around her father's good opinion.

2370: Hard study and ambition pay off, and Ana gains entrance to Starfleet Academy, and relocates to San Francisco campus. After geting off to a less than sterling start in the first quarter of studies, she specifies her training to Operations specific roles. Over the next two years, while adjusting to life as a Cadet, she pursues gymnastics to a bronze intramural medal.

2372: SFA Commandant issues Cadet López a formal reprimand for an incident following third quarter exams. Details classified. She does not return to extracurricular activities and withdrawing from those who best know her, profoundly embarassed, does not discuss the incident with anyone.

2374: Cadet López is posted to Excelsior class starship USS Crazy Horse for the duration of her cadet cruise. Though a productive member of the crew and Mission Operations, she does not form any lasting bonds while aboard. She is reposted to the Crazy Horse after the end of cruise, and remains aboard as a newly commission Ensign until 2376.

2376: After the Tal'Kaden's Dulcais sector attack on Station 419 Upsilon, Ensign López requests a transfer off the Crazy Horse to occupy the Junior Mission Operations billet that has opened there. Her request is granted.

2377: Ensign Lopez participates in coordination and execution of humanitarian mission aboard USS Amazon led by LT CMDR Aaron Park to Tierra, following biogenic weapons attack on the population. Despite efforts of the team to render medical aid, an outbreak of violence on the ground (culminating in the beginning of a civil war) necessitates team extraction, and the scrubbing of the mission. Lopez largely regards the failure of the mission to be her fault, and was plagued by nightmares about the incident for some time.

2377: Ensign Lopez participates in the response of USS Thomas Paine to the distress call of USS Hannibal, led by Commander Akeen Ghorev near Rynka.

2377: Ensign Lopez participates in away mission led by LTJG Galen Nilee aboard USS Cape Fear. Mission was slated to recover information about the fate of USS Bainbridge, missing 100 years and located on a returning extra-planetary mass.

2378: Ana is on duty in S419-U Operations under command of Commander Akeen Ghorev when USS Thomas Paine "disappears" in contact with a Breen vessel making a run for the Riley Convergence.

2378: She participates in the planning and execution of geological survey mission to Fimdari aboard USS Amazon under command of Ensign Tara Valentine. After the team encounters an ion storm and responds to a priority one distress signal from a scientific base camp, she is responsible for the rescue of one civilian scientist from allegedly ion-generated weather phenomena while on the ground. She also recommended the jettison of scientific samples in favor of being able to carry additional passengers, which was done.

2378: Lopez participates in planning, execution and crew briefing on return away mission to Fimdari under command of ENS Alek Krylow, with a primary objective of recovering cargo jettisoned on the previous mission. There, ENS Lopez assisted in linking 'Hoarfrost Demon' life form to gamma-pulse communication. Primary objective was achieved.

2378: Ana was on duty in Operations during incident wherein holographic programs from the Dream Factory were projected throughout the station. Established that program safeties were functional.

2378: Ensign Lopez served during the so-called Lithian invasion of 54833.7 in S419-U Operations, surviving the ordeal and subsequent close of her time loop of origin. She went on to assist in the clean up and recovery efforts afterward, including a pair of runabout missions which she co-planned, including the patching of a hull breach into the Infirmary, and the recovery of bodies lost to space during the attack. Additionally, her brief relationship with Dr. Hamish Albertz of Station Medical ends with his departure from the station for disciplinary action.

2378: After excellent scores for her top of the OER, Ana is transferred from the Junior Missions billet to the billet of Customs Inspector. She is subsequently promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. Despite her shift in billet, she retains permission to continue work on the so-called RDM Kit project.

2378: Ana continues to refuse to deal with the new variables the timeline shift has unleashed upon her life, namely the husband and child and soiled career the other Ana Lopez has left for her, in addition to her perceived loss of her family. Lopez experiences frustration with her role as customs inspector, but begins training in other skill sets, in particular helm skills. She is called upon on one occasion to fly the USS Thomas Paine in a raid mission, commanded by CMDR Akeen Ghorev.

2378: After the marriage of close friends Alek Krylow and Barana Nabrun, Lopez attempts to go on vacation aboard an aged USS Lexington, to observe Federation Day plasma displays at Dulcais. Any hope for R&R is dashed when an energy surge sends the ship plunging into the always-unpleasant mirror universe. The week spent MIA in a harem, and her own violent part in the escape to their own reality leaves Lopez shaken.

2378: The retirement of Operations Department Head LT Robert Harris leads to the reshuffling of personnel and Ana's reposting to Mission Operations as section head. She pours her time into training for Line Officer qualifications, coordinating in the meantime a mission to Qo'Nos, led by LT CMDR Joshua Goodwin.

2378: Lopez completes work on the RDM Kit project, coordinating a holodeck simulation to test to weaknesses of the pilot project. After completion and analysis, she submits her report to Command for evaluation.

Proficiencies: Organization is the foundation of all her strong suit skills, whether planning for Mission insertion or for a social gathering. She has been described by fellow officers as capable. Though she does not openly exhibit or discuss her talent, she is double-jointed to the point of contortion.

Deficiencies: Ana has a severe anaphylactic allergy to the chemical melitin most commonly found in the venom of biting or stinging insects (Order Hymenoptera), which is potentially fatal. She is required to carry a dose of epinephrine adrenaline on her person at all times. Ana is intensely private, and makes frequent use of a humor defense mechanism.
