Summary:

2346: K'net-mauri held the rank of Centurion in the Romulan Star Navy at this time, and was in command of the Warbird Kayhaar. Unconfirmed rumours suggest that this vessel was present when the Romulans massacred the inhabitants of the Klingon outpost at Khitomer, and at Narendra III two years earlier.

2364: After over fifty years of isolation behind the Neutral Zone, the Romulans re-establish contact with the Federation. Late this year the Warbird Kayhaar decloaked over a skirmish between a Starfleet Light Escort vessel, the scarcely-armed cargo vessel it accompanied, and a pair of unidentified pirate craft of Ferengi make. The pirates made haste to retreat. While technically outside the territory of the Federation or the Romulans, Starfleet was alarmed to see the Warbird so close to the Federation and away from the Neutral Zone. Centurion K'net-mauri refused to explain what he was doing there, and left the crippled UFP vessels to limp home without incident. Some months later Kayhaar was sighted along the Neutral Zone. Over the next few years Starfleet encountered K'net-mauri enough that Starfleet crews along the Neutral Zone came to refer to him amongst themselves as "Maurice."

2367: A Federation outpost along the Neutral Zone detected an object larger than a Galaxy-class starship rapidly approaching from the Romulan side. Long-range sensors revealed that it was not a natural phenomenon, but failed to identify it any further. Starfleet vessels from around the sector gathered to meet the object at the border. The D'deridex-class Warbird Kayhaar decloaked and destroyed the objects moments before it could enter the Neutral Zone. Centurion K'net-mauri refused to identify the object, instead claiming that it was provocative for Starfleet vessels to mass along the Neutral Zone. He demanded that the hastily-assembled fleet disperse. Starfleet complied.

2372: After nearly a year since their last brief and inconsequential contact, Starfleet once again encounter the Romulan ship Kayhaar along the Neutral Zone. It is now under the command of a Centurion Aenvor.

2375: K'net-mauri arrived at Federation Station 419-Upsilon, now assigned as Adjutant to Ambassador Maek, who had left the station some weeks earlier. Maek did not return, and a week later K'net-mauri recieved new orders and the position of Ambassador. This period coincided with the Romulan Foundation Day Celebration. A Romulan Senator, Selera, visited the Station to speak as part of the Romulans' celebration. It was learned that Senator Selera and Ambassador K'net-mauri are married.
