2360: Young Marcus is treated briefly at the Chicago Young Adult Emotional Crisis center due to emotional and psychological stress due to a fatal shuttlecraft accident that kills his long-time girlfriend.

2362: Classified information regarding a security breach at Starfleet Academy, involving Marcus Kallan.

2363: Applied and accepted to Starfleet Academy, to the College of Physical Sciences.

2367: Published paper, "Dirty Quantum Processing" - A controversial work abandoning Heisenberg Uncertainty Compensation in favor of chancy fuzzy logic approaches to digital computations.

2368: Graduated with honors from the Academy's Department of Computer Research.

2368: Cadet Cruise begins on USS Cochrane.

2370: Promotion to Ensign and transfer to USS Farragut.

2372: USS Enterprise is lost at Veridian III. Farragut dispatched to assist with salvage operations. Due to complications involving rescuing the data from the Enterprise's badly damaged computer core, Ensign Kallan develops a thorough but destructive algorithm that rescues over half of the data, but renders the fragile core thereafter useless.

2372: Field promotion to Lieutenant, Junior Grade.

2374: The captain of the Farragut is changed due to some political shifting in Starfleet Headquarters, and shortly thereafter, Lt. Kallan is transferred to Starbase 419.

2374: Promoted to Lt, assigned the Chief Science Officer position on Station 419.

2374: Promoted to Lt, assigned the Chief Science Officer position on Station 419. Marcus is reunited with his Starfleet Academy sweetheart, Gwendolyn Poole, and their romance rekindles.

2374: Lt. Kallan participates in research regarding the Siinogans, and their sudden unprovoked aggression towards the Klingon Empire. Kallan also takes part in defusing a 'Klingon Bomb' that was planted by a Siinogan freighter onto an unsuspecting Klingon Bird of Prey, although logs show that he gives credit to Lt. Accolon, Lt. Ghorev, and Lt. Glemm.

2374: Lt. Kallan is abducted by the Ferengi criminal known as Gak during a personal matter off-station, and is subjected to torture involving painful erasure of all memories involving Lt. Poole. The USS Aegis rescues him. Gak is presumed dead, attacked by Romulan Warbirds inside the Neutral Zone. Kallan is then subjected to a brief treatment and evaluation period by Dr. Leshnei, and is then returned to active duty. Kallan's psychological and emotional profile has several warnings dictating what is expected of his health in upcoming years.

2374: Lt. Kallan, amongst others, endured a shuttlecraft accident that transported them to an adjacent but significantly different frame of time and space. Details omitted to protect the Temporal Prime Directive.

2375: After several personal and professional events, Marcus Kallan applies for transfer, and is granted. He is stationed on the USS Marcadian. 

2375: Marcus Kallan is granted honorable discharge from active service, but remains under the employ of Starfleet as a civillian scientist.
