Summary:

2353: Born son of Vedek Anish Mar at the temple of Arun Kep in Mousilla province. His mother, Anish Tama dies in childbirth as the Cardassians raid the temple during her laying in.

2365: His father, Vedek Anish, is tortured along with three prylar by the Cardassians who believe that he is hiding resistance members in the temple. The Vedek and all three Prylar die due to a refusal to give the Cardassians any information. Five members of a resistance cell lived due to the Vedek's silence, and keep Lais hidden until the Cardassians leave.

2369: Is made an acolyte of the Prophets and enters formal monastic schooling in Tozhat province.

2372: Lais begins helping with the Tozhat resettlement center helping displaced Cardassian children. He is later removed from the position after he gets into a fight with one of the Cardassian boys.

2375: Completes his training and is made a Prylar.

2376: Sent to S419 to assist Vedek Toralin in tending the spiritual needs there.

Deficiencies: Young, stubborn, more than a little fanatic in his beliefs.
